Design & Construction

Designed around a full displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 7.43m beam and a 2.05m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 243 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Construction started in late 2015. This was the third yacht built on the Darwin 102 design. Launched in April 2017 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was completed at Cantiere delle Marche's Cantiere delle Marche yard in Italy where she was commissioned and delivered to her owners in May 2017.

Exterior Design

Atlas's silhouette is defined by a sturdy and secure build, with a pronounced railing around the swim platform enhancing safety. The swim platform itself is not only expansive but equipped with a transformer, a versatile platform that can be raised or lowered into the water, adding a practical element to the yacht's design.

At the stern, the yacht features a unique gate system that accommodates the passerelle, allowing for smooth boarding and disembarking from various docking arrangements. The aft cockpit, shaded by the boat deck above, offers an outdoor dining area configured for six but can comfortably accommodate eight guests. Additional seating at the aft provides an ideal spot for relaxation while cruising or at anchor. The area can be fully enclosed, with a pre-fitted track system, for added protection against the elements.

The cockpit also houses a concealed stern control station, complete with power thruster and rudder controls, catering to the needs of the captain. For the convenience of service, there is a strategically placed drink fridge, along with other thoughtful amenities that speak to the yacht's practical considerations for guest comfort.

The side decks, accessible via weather-tight doors, lead to various areas of the yacht, including direct access to the galley for efficient provisioning. The thoughtful placement of these entrances ensures smooth operation and privacy for guests and crew alike.

Moving upwards, the sun deck invites with a range of features from a spacious sitting area good for larger gatherings, to a bar equipped with a sink, refrigerator, and ice maker. The area also includes a spa tub, flanked by sun loungers, with an overhead rain shower for added luxury. Storage solutions are smartly integrated, maximizing space utility without compromising on the yacht's clean lines.

The boat deck is highlighted by a substantial crane that serves a dual purpose – operational and as a makeshift bar area when the tender is launched. An alfresco dining setup for ten, complete with a potential shade system, ensures guests can dine under the sky in comfort. A day head accessible from the exterior adds to the well-considered layout, ensuring that guest needs are always within easy reach.

Atlas embodies practicality and durability in its exterior design, offering a dependable and well-appointed platform for adventurous voyages without sacrificing the comfort and convenience expected from a luxury yacht.

Interior Design

The interior design palette consists of neutral tones, complemented by the use of natural materials such as fine woods and stones, giving the spaces a timeless appeal.

In terms of lighting, Atlas features a combination of LED fixtures that provide efficient illumination while adding to the overall ambiance. The lighting is strategically placed to enhance the textures and features within each space, ensuring both visibility and mood are appropriately balanced.

The galley, which acts as the culinary hub, is outfitted with professional-grade appliances and ample preparation surfaces. It is designed to be both practical for the crew and accessible for guest interaction, should they choose to engage with the culinary experiences on board. The galley's layout is optimized for service flow to the dining areas, ensuring that meals are delivered with ease and precision.

Accommodation

Atlas is proficiently designed to cater to the comfort of eight guests, which is facilitated through four well-appointed suites. These include a dedicated owner's cabin, which offers enhanced privacy and space for the yacht's owner. The owner's suite is a focal point of the accommodation, reflecting a personal haven for the principal guest.

In addition to the owner's cabin, Atlas features one VIP cabin, providing a luxurious and private space for guests with high-end amenities and comfort. The yacht also houses two twin cabins, each designed to deliver a tranquil and relaxing environment for guests on board.

Atlas's layout also includes provisions for a professional crew of up to four members.

Performance & Capabilities

Atlas houses twin diesel Caterpillar (C18) engines, each producing 671 horsepower. This robust powertrain enables the yacht to achieve a top speed of 13 knots, allowing for swift passage-making capabilities when required. For longer, more economical voyages, Atlas cruises comfortably at 8 knots. This reduced speed harmonizes fuel efficiency with a steady pace, ideal for exploratory and extended trips.

The yacht's fuel capacity is a substantial 40,048 liters, which affords her a remarkable maximum range of 4,500 nautical miles while cruising at a consistent 8 knots. This extensive range ensures that Atlas is well suited for long voyages, minimizing the need for frequent refueling stops and allowing guests to enjoy uninterrupted travel across vast stretches of ocean.

Equipped with stabilizers, the Atlas maintains a stable and smooth experience for guests on board, even when encountering adverse sea conditions. These stabilizers significantly reduce roll motion, enhancing comfort during both cruising and periods at anchor. The result is a more pleasant and serene environment for all on board, whether traversing open waters or enjoying the yacht's amenities at anchor.

The vessel's full displacement hull contributes to its stability and seakeeping abilities, providing a solid foundation that inspires confidence during all sea conditions. The mechanical prowess of the Atlas, combined with its well-appointed accommodations and amenities, ensures that every journey is as enjoyable as it is dependable.
