Heesen Wraps Up 2024 on a High with the Sale of 55m Steel Project Angelica

Heesen Yachts has announced the sale of YN 21255 Project Angelica, the latest addition to its highly successful 55-meter Steel series.

This milestone marks Heesen’s third sale in 2024, concluding the year on a high note for the renowned Dutch shipyard.

Project Angelica is the sixth hull sold in Heesen’s 55-meter Steel (Gen 2) series, a testament to the enduring appeal of this design. The series debuted with the delivery of Iris Blue in early 2024, followed by Serena, which completed sea trials later in the year and is set for delivery in early 2025. Three more hulls, including Solemates, are scheduled for delivery throughout 2025.

The new owner of Project Angelica, an experienced superyacht owner, has requested modifications to tailor the yacht to their specific lifestyle, emphasizing year-round usability. Delivery is planned for Q2 2027.

Collaborative Design and Engineering Excellence

Project Angelica features exterior design by Omega Architects and a bespoke interior by Luca Dini Design and Architecture. The yacht will accommodate up to 12 guests in seven luxurious staterooms, offering nearly 400 square meters of interior space across her 760 GT volume.

Her advanced engineering includes the Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF), developed by Van Oossanen and engineered by Heesen’s in-house team. This innovative design ensures reduced fuel consumption, optimal performance, and enhanced comfort in challenging conditions. Powered by twin MTU 8V 4000 M63 IMO III engines, Project Angelica will reach a top speed of 15.5 knots and has a transatlantic range of 4,500 nautical miles at 13 knots.

The Heesen 55-metre series offers an exceptional platform for clients to express their individuality and achieve their ambitions. It combines striking exterior design, outstanding seaworthiness, and unmatched Dutch craftsmanship. The interior volumes are among the largest in their class, and the quality of workmanship is unparalleled.
