KIWA: Isaac Burrough's 110m Superyacht Concept

Dutch designer Isaac Burrough has revealed his latest design in the form of a sustainable 110m superyacht named KIWA.

Inspired by Māori, guardian of the ocean, 110m (361') KIWA is considered a slimline explorer yacht with a full beam of just 15.5 meters. If built, KIWA would become one of the world's biggest yachts.

With the main design focus honing in on sustainability and a low carbon footprint, KIWA is described as an energy efficient expedition yacht, with a low volume to enable faster cruising speeds.

Powered by a hybrid propulsion system, an electric-only mode for cruising allows KIWA to explore more fragile environments, allowing owners closer access to desirable diving spots.

In addition to her other economical installations, Burrough's latest design also features no less than 200 solar panels for daily usage.

The intention for Kiwa was to design a yacht that is both modern and elegant. Her sleek silhouette combined with curvaceous surfaces give grace despite her exploration capabilities. A yacht that will look sophisticated whether cruising the Mediterranean or the Arctic.

Many details are yet to be confirmed for the 110-meter superyacht, however, key highlights suggest a glass-bottom swimming pool on the main deck aft. Lit by the swimming pool above, a full-beam beach club environment is said to feature built-in sun loungers that overlook the easy-access swim platform. For owners wanting to get a bird's eye view of new destinations, KIWA has a certified landing pad on the bow, which can accommodate a Kiwa H145 helicopter.
