In a show which sees the launch of a new layout, setting specified zones for motoryachts and sailing boats, there will be plenty of hyped excitement about the launches happening throughout the duration of the show.

With too many individual launches to list, we have picked out some firm favourites which are must see launches to witness while attending the Cote D'Azur based event.

Azimut S8

Making big news at the moment for the Italian shipyard, a surprise launch at Cannes has certainly boosted the momentum for the popular brand.

Showcasing a powerful sporty aesthetic by Alberto Mancini, the S8 is a new Carbon Tech addition to the fleet with a triple Volvo Penta IPS propulsion system and an advertised top speed of 34 knots. Taking the place of the previously successful 77S model, there are many key features worth shouting about on the Azimut S8.

Innovative use of space is key for this vessel, which has been executed to its capacity with thanks to a compact engine room. With what the shipyard describe as a 'one of a kind' layout, the S8 features a composition of four cabins on the lower deck, a large garage to store two watertoys and a closed galley located on an intermediate deck.

Having the galley separated from the main deck, there's an ample amount of space dedicated to social and relaxing space. Interiors by Francesco Guida compliment the larger than normal volume, with a choice of two designs of Platinum or Black Pearl; the latter of which will be appearing at the show.
