Oceanco 51m superyacht LAZY Z sold following extensive refit

Listed for sale by John Cohen, the 1997 Oceanco superyacht 'Lazy Z' has found new owners following an extensive overhall of her interiors.

With the new owners introduced by Mark Osterhaven, 51m (167ft) motor yacht LAZY Z was initially delivered in 1997 and has since undergone two refits, one in 2012 and another in 2017.

Formerly known under other names including LAZY S and ACCOLADE, motor yacht LAZY Z features a steel and aluminium construction designed by The A Group.

Powered by two 1,920hp MTU 16V2000 diesel engines installed during the 2017 refit, the stunning superyacht for sale advertised a maximum speed of 17 knots with a range of 3,600 nautical miles at cruising speeds of 15 knots. 

As a prime example of Oceanco's custom yachts, the 51m superyacht was a finalist for multiple awards in the 1997 ShowBoats Awards and now sports an impressive aesthetic thanks to $7 million worth of refit services.

In 2012 'Lazy Z' had her first refit which included a refresh for exterior paint and teak deck work, plus updates to interior decor. 

An installation of Quantum zero speed stabilisers was also executed, as well as a 15 year Lloyd's Class inspections and survey.

Her second refit in 2017 saw the installation of brand new MTU engines and a complete interior overhaul.

Overnight accommodation onboard comprises of a six-cabin layout for up to 12 guests, including a full beam master cabin on the main deck. Complete with its own private observation lounge with stunning 180-degree views, owners can work, play or relax in this exclusive space.

On the lower deck a further five spacious ensuite cabins make the most of the space available. Including three King berth cabins, a double plus a twin, every guest will enjoy the indulgent interiors from Therese Baron Gurney.
