SERENA: Heesen Yachts’ 55m Steel Series Offers Ultimate Onboard Comfort

The builder's latest superyacht is tailored for comfort and luxury, following close collaboration between its experienced owners and design experts.

Heesen Yachts has launched its latest superyacht, motor yacht SERENA, (previously designated YN 20555) at a ceremony attended by its owners and their family.

Since construction began in spring 2022, the owners have been actively involved in the design process, collaborating closely with Heesen’s engineers and the Luca Dini Design and Architecture team to create a welcoming and comfortable interior, designed for extended periods at sea.

Motor yacht SERENA accommodates up to 12 guests in five cabins. The owners’ quarters on the main deck include a lounge and office space, a full-beam cabin with a private veranda, two large walk-in closets, and a spacious bathroom. The lower deck houses four additional staterooms: two doubles with athwartship beds for optimal space and two twins with Pullman beds. Each cabin features a unique marble-clad ensuite bathroom, with different colors for each room. Furthermore, the bridge deck includes a gym that can be converted into an extra cabin if required.

The beach club, bathed in natural light from two glass portholes, is designed to resemble a waterside salotto, while the sauna has been upgraded with a larger glass door and elegant wood finishes. The 110-square-meter sun deck offers flexible furniture arrangements for various occasions, enhancing the yacht’s hospitality options. Forward seating is ideal for enjoying the views and sea breeze while cruising.

Arcon Yachts were responsible for optimizing the onboard layout, emphasizing the main deck and skylounge bars. The redesigned atrium, spanning three decks, features hand-blown glass and sculpted metal fixtures, while the interior combines light wood finishes, smoked eucalyptus, bronze accents, soft fabrics, and leather for a homely yet refined atmosphere. Amazonite marble inlays and chevron-patterned wood panels also feature additional color.

SERENA’s design strikes the perfect balance between size and functionality, offering the owners both ample space and the ability to access all the ports in the Mediterranean.

The main saloon is thoughtfully divided into three distinct areas. A bronze-finished bar near the sliding doors serves both the main deck aft terrace and the lounge area, facilitating a flowing indoor-outdoor experience ideal for formal dining. The Sky Lounge, a hub for indoor socializing, features a custom games table, comfortable seating, and a hammered bronze bar, perfect for movie nights or quiet reading. Additionally, the superyacht’s tender and water toys, including jet skis, are stored on the main deck forward, ensuring easy access for the crew.
