La Belle Classe YCM Explorer Awards 2022

The La Belle Classe YCM Explorer Awards returned on 24 March and was presented by HSH Prince Albert II.

An award ceremony that is largely based around the Owner’s vision for their superyacht, how they use it and what it can do for humanity, the YCM Explorer Awards had a near three-year hiatus due to the ongoing global pandemic but it returned with just as much anticipation and has proved the need for a ceremony surrounding the environment.

Presenting five awards following some decision-making from a jury, main dealmakers for winning the awards could be anything from a technical innovation that reduces the yacht’s CO2 emissions or simply an ability to pass on and share adventures at sea.

Scheduled at the end of a one-day Environmental Symposium, organized by the YCM during Monaco Ocean Week, the award ceremony and dinner was enjoyed by around 200 people and made a clear statement that the awards ceremony was here to stay for many editions to come.
