Delivered in 2006, Ad Lib is an award winning 40.25m motor yacht built by New Zealander shipyard Alloy Yachts. Her naval architecture and exterior design comes from the drawing boards of Dubois, while Donald Starkey is responsible for her interior design.

Design & Construction

Designed around a semi-displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 8.5m beam and a 1.89m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 294 GT (Gross Tonnes).

The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards.

Accommodation

Ad Lib offers accommodation for up to 8 guests in 4 suites comprising 3 double cabins and 1 twin cabin. She is also capable of carrying up to 6 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (3412E) 1,449hp engines, motor yacht Ad Lib is capable of reaching a top speed of 16 knots, and comfortably cruises at 13 knots. With her 36,334 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,500 nautical miles at an economic speed of 10 knots. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.
