Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 46'7" beam and a 12'10" draft. The yacht is built over 4 decks with an internal volume of 2,159 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the sixth yacht built on the Custom design. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards.

Exterior Design

Alfa Nero, bearing a striking black color, immediately leaves an impression of power and dominance. It reflects Oceanco's ambition to be a leading player in the European luxury yacht industry.

The exterior and layout designers, Nuvolari-Lenard, have prioritized open space as the ultimate luxury afloat. With four decks and only 12 guests to accommodate, they have made generous use of space. The exterior design features a 1.6-meter-deep swimming pool with a built-in current and an 'infinity' aft end, where the water flows over a large sloping sheet of glass to create a waterfall effect. This is particularly impressive at night when both the pool and the waterfall are under-lit and the movement of the water creates an ever-changing light show.

The pool floor, marked with an "H", can be raised flush with the deck to provide a landing point for a helicopter up to 5,000 kilograms in weight. This seamless integration of function and design is a key aspect of Alfa Nero's exterior. The yacht offers a large lido that can double as a party deck, complete with a bar, buffet, horseshoe sofa, and two dining tables, ideal for tropical evening parties.

Alfa Nero's approach to yacht design symbolizes the future of luxury yachting and sets her apart as a vessel of unmatched comfort, luxury, and style.

Interior Design

The interior design of Alfa Nero was created by renowned designer Alberto Pinto. With an exquisitely crafted pop-art motif inspired by the work of Roy Lichtenstein, the yacht offers a luxurious yet playful ambiance that is both engaging and surprising.

One of the yacht's standout features is the dining room, adorned with a high-gloss table of dark Macassar scattered with colored circles, reflecting the magnified ink-spots in the Lichtenstein prints. This playful design extends to the grand piano in the main saloon, creating a vibrant and captivating space.

The upper saloon boats a simplistic color scheme of white and blue, with a 'golf-ball' finish on the white lacquered walls. This space serves as a tranquil retreat or a mini-cinema, equipped with a giant plasma television screen and a larger cinema-type screen that rolls down from the ceiling.

Accommodation

Alfa Nero has been designed to accommodate a small, exclusive group of 12 guests, providing them with an unparalleled experience of lavishness and comfort.

The accommodation on Alfa Nero is spread across four expansive decks, allowing the guests to revel in the sheer luxury of open space. The guests are accommodated in four spacious guest cabins, one VIP cabin on the main deck, and another VIP cabin on the lower deck. The master suite, a grand affair, is situated on the upper deck, providing the guests with an undisturbed, serene view of the ocean.

The guest cabins on the main deck are located well above the waterline, offering the guests an uninterrupted, panoramic view of the sea through the large square windows. The cabins are generously spacious, with the forward VIP cabin being large enough to be converted into two smaller cabins with the help of a sliding wall.

The master suite is an epitome of luxury and comfort. It is equipped with a private deck with a breakfast table and a small spa pool, a large study with its own en suite, and a walk-in wardrobe leading to the main bathroom. The bedroom is located forward of the study and bathroom, providing the guests with a spectacular view through a semi-circle arrangement of windows.

The lower deck VIP cabin is located right next to a large lobby, which has a unique feature of a side that folds down to form a beach platform. This VIP cabin also enjoys the service of a splendid circular, glass-encased lift that serves three decks.

The Alfa Nero can accommodate a crew of up to 28 members, with two cabins kept free for the use of bodyguards or visiting technicians. The crew quarters are located on the lower deck of the yacht, separate from the guest accommodation, ensuring privacy for the guests.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by two MTU 16V595 TE70 engines, each generating a robust 3,492kW, Alfa Nero can reach impressive speeds up to 20 knots. These engines are not just about power, they also offer versatility. During docking, the engines can be de-powered by cutting off the fuel to half of the cylinders to ensure stress-free maneuvering. In such situations, the 250kW steerable stern thruster can be utilized to gently push the yacht along at up to five knots, depending on wind strength.

The joystick controls at the projecting wing stations integrate the bow and stern-thrusters, allowing the captain to berth the yacht with precision and in complete silence. This feature underscores Oceanco's commitment to delivering a seamless and luxurious yachting experience.

Alfa Nero is amongst the few yachts fitted with the latest retractable fin stabilizer from Brown Bros, a Scottish engineering company now owned by Rolls-Royce. These fins, 15 square meters in area, provide roll stabilizing both underway and in the 'zero speed' situation. They can be automatically folded in when the yacht's speed falls below four knots as it comes alongside. This advanced technology ensures a smooth ride, enhancing the comfort of guests on board.

Fuel capacity is another area where Alfa Nero stands out, with a capacity of 295,000 liters, which gives the yacht a range of 6,000 nautical miles at 14 knots. Such a range affirms the yacht's capability for long voyages, offering the ultimate freedom on the seas.

Three powerful V8 MTU-driven generators support the yacht’s electrical needs, ensuring a smooth and uninterrupted luxury experience.
