  • High performance with a top speed of 30 knots

Design & Construction

Designed around a semi-displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 24'7" beam and a 7'3" draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 245 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Construction started in mid 2008 with the keel laid under the project name 'Petra'. This was the tenth yacht built on the Heesen 3700 design. Launched in April 2011 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in July 2011.

Exterior Design

Aurelia's exterior exudes a sense of speed and performance, emphasized by the iconic Gulf Oil racing colors that drape her 37-meter frame. The distinctive livery is not merely aesthetic but pays homage to a rich racing heritage that is as much about performance as it is about style.

Upon approaching Aurelia, one is struck by the yacht's massive cockpit area, which provides a spacious platform for relaxation and social gatherings. The area is thoughtfully shaded, offering a reprieve from the sun's intensity while still allowing guests to enjoy the open-air ambiance.

The yacht's profile is sleek and streamlined, with a powerful stance that suggests movement even when she's at rest in the dock. The superstructure is skillfully designed to provide ample interior space while maintaining the yacht's athletic exterior lines.

Deck spaces are thoughtfully laid out to maximize outdoor living. The flybridge, for instance, is a highlight of Aurelia's design, offering a second helm position, generous dining areas, and extensive sunbathing spots, all under the protection of a large radar arch and bimini tops that provide shade without compromising the yacht's performance capabilities. Notably, the flybridge is also equipped with retractable bimini tops that have been reinforced to remain deployed even while cruising, ensuring continuous comfort and flexibility.

The asymmetrical design of the flybridge leads to an innovative foredeck area that can be directly accessed without the need to traverse the main deck. This area is furnished with additional sun pads and a private seating nook, providing a secluded spot for quiet reflection or intimate gatherings.

At the stern, the yacht's transom folds down to reveal an inviting beach club, which seamlessly extends the living space to the water's edge. It is a luxurious platform for guests to sunbathe, swim, and engage in water sports with ease, enhancing the connection between the yacht and the sea.

Aurelia's interior spaces are crafted to provide an unparalleled yachting experience, where every detail is meticulously considered to ensure comfort, elegance, and a touch of racing spirit.

Interior Design

Stepping aboard Aurelia, guests are greeted by an interior that is both luxurious and evocative of the yacht's sporty aesthetic. The vessel's design pays homage to racing heritage, with Gulf Oil racing colors elegantly integrated throughout her living spaces.

The main dining area, located at the aft of the yacht, is a statement of sophistication and functionality. This space is ingeniously designed to offer panoramic views when dining, with the option of being bathed in natural light when the power-operated doors are retracted. The attention to detail is evident in the finishes, and the iconic dining table serves as a centerpiece for guests to gather and enjoy the culinary delights prepared by the onboard chef.

Moving forward into the saloon, one finds a cozy yet opulent area, centered around comfort and social interaction. The saloon boasts a dedicated bar area with all the necessary accoutrements for an evening of entertainment. The inclusion of a fireplace is a rare and inviting feature that adds an element of warmth and charm, further enhancing the yacht's cozy ambiance.

Accommodation

Aurelia's interior layout accommodates up to 8 guests in 4 lavishly appointed suites, ensuring a bespoke and intimate yachting experience.

Guests are enveloped in opulence within three double cabins situated on the lower deck, each thoughtfully designed with an en-suite bathroom, state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment, ample storage, and adorned with iconic imagery that complements the yacht's racing heritage. The cabin's décor features touches of carbon fiber accents, echoing the high-performance theme prevalent throughout the vessel.

The pièce de résistance is the owner's suite, prominently positioned on the main deck, where expansive windows offer awe-inspiring views and bathe the room in natural light. This sanctuary boasts a king-sized bed, a spacious walk-in wardrobe with an impressive array of storage options, and a dedicated desk or dressing area. The suite's en-suite facilities include both a luxurious bath and a separate, generously proportioned shower, along with dual sinks, a secluded toilet, and bidet, all finished with the finest materials to create a serene spa-like environment.

Aurelia also takes great care of her crew of 6, offering generous accommodations that underscore the yacht's commitment to crew welfare. The crew quarters include a well-appointed captain's cabin and additional cabins, all with en-suite amenities, ensuring the crew's comfort and privacy. This thoughtful allocation of space allows the crew to maintain the highest standards of service and hospitality for which Heesen yachts are renowned.

Performance & Capabilities

Aurelia is powered by twin diesel MTU (16V 4000 M90) engines, each producing a formidable 3,700 horsepower at a rate of 2100 RPM. This powerhouse enables Aurelia to reach an exhilarating top speed of 30 knots, while her cruising speed is an equally impressive 28 knots.

The engineering finesse of Aurelia extends to her fuel efficiency and range. With a substantial fuel capacity of 32,000 liters, she boasts a maximum range of 1,900 nautical miles when cruising at an economical speed of 12 knots. Such capabilities ensure that Aurelia is not just swift, but also adept at undertaking extended voyages with confidence and ease.

Equally important to Aurelia’s performance is her stability on the water, a feature that is enhanced by her advanced stabilizer system. These stabilizers are crucial for reducing the roll motion of the yacht, thereby significantly improving onboard comfort, whether Aurelia is slicing through the waves or resting at anchor in the tranquility of a secluded bay.

The yacht's semi-displacement hull is another key feature, expertly crafted to deliver a harmonious balance between voluminous interior spaces and the high-speed potential. This design choice reflects a meticulous consideration of both luxury and performance, allowing Aurelia to glide through the water with grace and power.
