Design & Construction

Designed around a fast displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 29'2" beam and a 7'3" draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 498 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Launched in April 2017 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in June 2017.

Exterior Design

The standout feature of the exterior is the beach club, which offers an expansive space uncommon for a yacht of Aurora's size. The high ceiling, comprehensive sauna, all complement the advanced audiovisual system, which includes a large interactive screen capable of streaming real-time footage from a camera situated at the bow's tip.

The design of Aurora cleverly addresses the architectural challenge posed by the sizable beach club, without the need to increase the yacht's gross tonnage. This is achieved through the creation of a raised sunbathing area above the beach club, leading to an al fresco dining space that is sheltered yet open, allowing for a seamless indoor/outdoor experience.

Aurora's innovative design extends to the foredeck, which offers another secluded outdoor area for guests, complete with a cascade of decks and a broad sunpad lounge, ensuring privacy even when the yacht is docked in port.

Interior Design

The main salon features full-beam undulations that create an organic ambiance, further accentuated by custom Cantalupi spotlights. The lighting design plays a crucial role in setting the mood, with carefully placed fixtures enhancing the gentle curves and surfaces of the interior.

Material selection is pivotal in achieving the desired atmosphere. Limed oak surfaces, treated to evoke a velvet-like texture, contribute to the cocoon-like feel of the yacht. In the guest lobby, glossy tineo wood panels add a touch of elegance without overwhelming the senses. Salvagni's choice of woods in the construction of furniture and structural elements is deliberate, aiming to create a cohesive, comforting environment.

The dining areas onboard Aurora reflect the yacht's commitment to sociability and leisure. The main salon seamlessly integrates with the dining space, anchored by a monolithic elliptical table. This table, a focal point in the space, showcases a unique finish achieved through a meticulous process involving brushing and gold leaf application to create a lizard-skin effect reminiscent of 1920s French design.

As for the helm, the wheelhouse's design is driven by the owner's preference for a black color scheme. To mitigate the potential increase in temperature due to the dark tone, materials with reflective properties have been employed. The helm's contemporary aesthetic, reminiscent of a spaceship, includes red strip lighting that echoes a theme found in the yacht's engine room.

Accommodation

Aurora can accommodate up to 12 guests within its sophisticated confines, offering six cabins, each furnished to provide a serene and private retreat for those on board. The yacht's layout includes an intelligently designed complex of four double cabins, ensuring that every guest is enveloped in an atmosphere of understated elegance and comfort.

Central to the guest experience is the master suite, situated on the upper deck aft. This master suite diverges from traditional yacht design by replacing the upper saloon with a space dedicated to the ultimate in private luxury. The suite opens onto a broad terrace, allowing for an unobstructed communion with the sea and sky in a space that remains intimately secluded.

The second master suite is located forward of the guest cabins on the main deck, offering a distinctive layout that maximizes both space and views. The cabin features expansive windows that form part of the yacht's dynamic profile, affording sweeping panoramas of the ocean while maintaining a sense of cozy seclusion. The design elements within the suite are carefully selected to enhance the feeling of spaciousness and light.

Guest accommodation extends to the stylishly appointed double cabins, each a testament to Aurora's commitment to creating harmonious spaces. With walls that echo the organic ebb and flow of waves, these cabins are a synthesis of dark glossy lacquer and pale velvety oak, punctuated by marble accents and high-quality fixtures in the en-suites. The cabins are arrayed around a central lobby that is as functional as it is visually arresting, ensuring that movement between private and shared spaces is both intuitive and pleasurable.

For those operating the yacht, the crew cabins and galley are strategically located on the lower deck, with the captain's quarters positioned behind the wheelhouse. The accommodations for up to nine crew are crafted with the same attention to detail and functionality.
