Design & Construction
Designed around a steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 10m beam and a 3m draft. The yacht is built over 4 decks with an internal volume of 736 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Construction started in mid 2006 with the keel laid under the project name 'Sud'. She was delivered to her owners in June 2008.
Exterior Design
Yacht Taleya's exterior design is characterized by intriguing curvature within her superstructure, lending her a distinct identity on the water. With a light grey hue complemented by white decks inlaid with teak, the sleek lines are accentuated by a forward-leaning curve as the walkway goes undercover on the lower deck amidships.
Further forward, a large elongated glazed area introduces the same angle of curve, leading to the sleek raked bow. A prominent navigation mast adorns the foredeck, while the top of the yacht features a tall navigation and communication mast, made even more striking with an ultimate black finish.
From the side profile, the stern ends with a short transom, creating a clean and contemporary look. Deck structures are softly rounded, adding to the yacht's elegant aesthetic.
The forward-facing guest lounging areas boast round seating, with the uppermost deck offering a fan of seating forward of a circular Jacuzzi, providing an elevated and inviting space for relaxation and far-reaching views.
Interior Design
The exterior styling of the guest areas of yacht Taleya presents a pristine nautical charm, characterized by smart navy blue and crisp white patterns, subtly accented with stripes against the cream fabric, all supported by polished teak surrounds. This styling extends gracefully into the interior design, where the blue and cream theme persists but with varying hues to evoke a sense of sophistication.
Within the main salon, the focal points are four deep Chesterfield-style velvet chairs. Cream padded sofas harmonize with the blue tones found in their cushions, creating a cohesive and inviting atmosphere. Dark wood structures of glass-top tables offer striking contrast, while the light wood framing of the windows adds depth against occasional cream panels. Dark wooden floors further enhance the contrast.
The dining area, accommodating 12 guests, continues the blue theme of the chairs for cohesion, complementing a dark wood, heavily inlaid table. A zoning technique distinguishes the two spaces through the floor design: in the salon area, the wood is laid in parallel lines leading towards the outside deck, while in the dining area, the wood is arranged in diagonally laid squares. This technique is consistent throughout the yacht, including around the central staircase and circular glass elevator, effectively highlighting each area.
The cabins are designed to exude understated luxurious comfort, incorporating cream, mink, russet, and black tones to create a stylish ambiance. Vintage black and white art adds a touch of sophistication to the space, while guest bathrooms feature white marble against black accents for a visually striking effect. Occasional Danish-style furniture in wood and leather further enhances the minimalist look and feel.
Moving to the salon area on the upper deck, warmer tones of deep and dusky pink contrast against cream sofas with beige piping, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Artwork, featuring vintage beach picture postcards, adds a touch of humor and enhances the relaxing space. Stepping out onto the deck, a large dining table comfortably accommodating ten guests echoes the cream and light brown stripe fabric seen earlier on the yacht. The use of royal blue with white piping maintains the nautical theme used in the outside spaces. Notably, the dining table stands out as a stunning piece of furniture, with wood grains leading away from the central black marble element.
