Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 11.43m beam and a 3.5m draft. The yacht is built over 5 decks with an internal volume of 1,226 GT (Gross Tonnes).
The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards.
Exterior Design
The exterior design of Capri I features a raked bow and is constructed with a teak deck. The hull and superstructure are both finished in a clean white color, creating a cohesive and understated look. The boot top and antifoul areas are painted black, providing a sharp contrast to the white surfaces. This combination ensures a straightforward, yet effective, visual appeal.
Capri I features five decks, four of which provide extensive sea views. The uppermost deck is discreetly concealed, offering a quiet retreat. At the front, there is a sun terrace with curved seating and side tables. The rear section includes an observation saloon with a bar, decorated with pale leather and pastel colors, contrasting with polished woodwork. This area leads to a gymnasium and a large stern deck, equipped for sunbathing with a central spa pool. The deck also serves as a helicopter platform when needed.
The stern section includes a garage for two tenders and a pair of hydrojet scooters, launched through hull-side doors. This arrangement keeps the upper decks clear and provides a platform for various activities.
Interior Design
The interior design of Capri I employs a blend of pale leather, pastel shades, and patinated woodwork to create a serene and inviting atmosphere. The uppermost deck features a modern observation saloon adorned with large windows that provide panoramic sea views. This area is complemented by a bar, offering guests a place to relax and enjoy the scenery.
The fourth deck houses a sky lounge with two large circular seating areas. This space is decorated in shades of ivory, white, and pale beige, set against dark wood furniture and a deep pile wool carpet handwoven in New Zealand. The sky lounge extends to an outside deck with a sheltered sun terrace, designed for alfresco dining for up to 16 guests.
Forward on the fourth deck, a galley is connected to the main galley by a dumbwaiter. Adjacent to this area is a centralized computer and entertainment room, from which programs can be transmitted to plasma and LCD screens located in each stateroom and salon. The bridge, also on this deck, features classic décor with green leather and varnished teak, and is equipped with both digital navigation instruments and conventional equipment.
The main deck includes a grand entrance hall with a cloakroom and a day head. The regal dining room can seat up to 12 guests and features various wood veneers for a diverse look. This room is connected to the main deck salon, which can be separated by sliding doors for added privacy. The salon is furnished with deep sofas and wide armchairs, and features a large semicircular bay window.
The interior design is consistent throughout the yacht, with different moods created on each deck. The use of various materials, such as onyx, teak, and antique gilt frames, adds to the overall aesthetic. The functional design ensures that all spaces are both practical and visually appealing, providing a comfortable environment for guests.
Accommodation
Capri I is capable of hosting up to 12 guests across 6 cabins. The owner's suite on Capri I is located on the main deck and boasts extensive sea views through large windows. This suite is thoughtfully designed with a small hall/library, a twin stateroom, a spacious office that opens directly into the large stateroom, and a full-beam bedroom. The suite’s bathroom is divided into two sections, featuring a full-sized bath with a striking transparent etching of Capri's famous port, an onyx and teak finish, a shower to port, and a dressing area to starboard.
On the lower deck, there are four guest staterooms located amidships. These cabins offer sea views through vertical portlights and are designed in a style that complements the owner’s suite, yet each has its unique color scheme. Every guest stateroom comes equipped with a plasma television screen hidden behind a mirror and an en suite bathroom. Special consideration has been given to the beds' length, with twin beds in the second portside cabin extending over 2 meters to accommodate taller guests.
Capri I also ensures the comfort of its crew with seven twin cabins located forward of the guest cabins. Each crew cabin is furnished with a shower room, portholes looking out to the sea, and small foldaway television screens above each bunk. The crew's quarters are designed to be practical and comfortable, with a dedicated mess area, a large laundry room equipped with industrial-sized washing machines, dryers, and a powerful ironing press.
