Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 11.2m beam and a 3.7m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 1,192 GT (Gross Tonnes).
The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. She was delivered to her owners in July 2006.
Exterior Design
The exterior design of the yacht Ipanemas is a study in classic lines. Featuring a raked bow, the yacht's white hull and superstructure are accented by a black boot stripe, lending the vessel a clean and traditional appearance.
The design avoids unnecessary complexities, focusing instead on volume and solidity. This approach is evident in the clean lines that run throughout the various decks, creating a cohesive and substantial appearance. The yacht's overall design is intended for year-round use, with an emphasis on function and comfort under all sea conditions.
Ipanemas' superstructure features dark strips that conceal expansive, dark-tinted rectangular windows, adding a subtle visual rhythm to the exterior. These design elements punctuate the levels of the superstructure, contributing to the yacht's balanced and straightforward silhouette. The sundeck is mostly covered, maximizing internal space while providing select areas for sunbathing.
While the exterior design opts for traditional aesthetics, it also incorporates original solutions to maximize internal space over the deck area. Despite this focus on interior space, the yacht does not lack in outdoor amenities, featuring solariums and alfresco areas that are strategically integrated without dominating the overall design.
Interior Design
The interior design of the yacht Ipanemas is defined by a minimalist style with bright and bold colors that contrast with the robust structure of the vessel. Studio Dedalo designed a timeless interior with simplicity and originality, using select materials to enhance the ambiance. The floors are made of dark African wenge wood, which contrasts with the light maple used on the bulkheads to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. The ceilings are hand-lacquered, contributing to the interior's clean aesthetic.
The main deck, dedicated to children, features a large play area and a salon with fuchsia-colored backlit columns, which add a lively touch. The décor is inspired by a Sixties minimalist look, incorporating industrial-style plastic furniture that is rarely seen on yachts of this size. This choice reflects the owner's preference for an unusual, high-impact design that welcomes guests with a cheerful vibe. The salon on the main deck also includes an adjoining projection room for entertainment purposes.
On the upper deck, the dining area connects seamlessly to a glazed oval veranda, leading to a spacious saloon. This layout allows for unobstructed views and easy flow between spaces. The saloon and dining areas are designed for relaxation and social gatherings, making them ideal for hosting guests.

Ipanemas offers accommodation for up to 16 guests in 8 suites comprising an owner's cabin, 3 double cabins and 4 twin cabins. The upper deck is exclusively dedicated to the owner's suite, which provides expansive views and includes large windows that are a standout feature. This suite encompasses a second bedroom, a dressing area, a wardrobe, a spacious bathroom, and an office, ensuring maximum comfort for long voyages.
