Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminum superstructure, she features a 17.8m beam and a 4.8m draft. The yacht is built over five decks with an internal volume of 4,900 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Construction started in late 2020 with the keel laid under the project name 'Project Jag'. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. The yacht was delivered to her owner in spring 2024.

Exterior Design

Kismet has a bow that extends into a sharp point, with a figurehead in the form of a molten-steel jaguar made by Aritex in Taiwan. This design choice reflects the owner's interest and serves a practical purposes, such as improved wave-piercing capabilities during navigation.

Adding to the yacht's distinctive appearance are the flared wings on its mast, contributing to its sleek, arrow-like silhouette. The overall effect is one of a vessel crafted for both speed and visual impact, with an exterior that hints at the high level of engineering and design expertise incorporated into its construction.

Kismet's design includes a range of outdoor features crafted for enjoyment and functionality. The yacht boasts several fire pits located on the main deck aft, owner's deck aft, and pool deck forward, creating focal points for social gatherings. Additionally, there are two spa pools – one situated on the top deck and another on the owner's deck – providing relaxation options with panoramic views. The upper deck also features a winter garden for versatile alfresco dining.

The pool deck aft is equipped with a 40-tonne capacity, mosaic-lined pool with a transparent wall that looks aft. A DJ booth positioned on the top deck offers an overlook to the bridge deck aft, effectively transforming the space into an expansive dance floor, highlighting the yacht's capacity for entertainment.

Kismet's design includes expansive side decks, inspired by promenade decks on old ships, allowing for comfortable movement around the yacht. The design incorporates beautifully curved teak that follows the curves of the transom and oiled teak slats decorating the ceiling of the yoga studio.

Kismet's exterior is a balance of aesthetics and purpose, engineered to deliver a visually striking presence and an array of outdoor amenities.

Interior Design

The yacht's interior is a tapestry of design, where each area boasts its own unique style and ambiance. Take the nightclub, for example, a vibrant space alive with bubblegum hues of pale pinks and turquoise blues. Quirky seating surrounds an illuminated dancefloor set upon a gently curved wooden surface, creating a circular effect. Ever-changing wall panels adorned with bubbles and swirls, alongside artwork inset into arches, add depth and intrigue to the room.

Throughout the interior, large panes of glass open up views and create interesting vistas with voids, mirrors, and some glass flooring. Crystal lights and chandeliers, including a significant light piece from Barovier & Toso, enhance the overall effect.

The main saloon features a ceiling hand-painted by de Gournay’s artists, complemented by architectural features of open ceilings and large windows. The centerpiece is a champagne-colored metallic finish by Neal Feay and a contemporary bar by Based Upon, topped with faux Sahara noir marble. The space also includes a gigantic video wall and limestone fireplaces. A Boganyi piano with its distinctive high-tech shape completes the setting.

The central staircase exudes grandeur and sophistication, its sweeping design crafted from cream marble, gently illuminated to accentuate each step. Contrasting black marble adds elegance, while clear glass on the inside curve creates an open and airy feel. The grand staircase incorporates around 1,500 lighting components and ziricote slats in a bronze finish. The wall fabric by Fromental transitions from dark green at the cinema level to lighter shades as you ascend.

Formal dining areas greet guests with twin 'fireplaces' set into intricately carved marble. Mirrored ceilings reflect the surroundings, enhancing the sense of luxury. Geometric patterns in cream marble flooring add to the atmosphere.

The bathrooms showcase a stylized Japanese theme, with gold detailing on onyx and black marble. Circular motifs echo throughout, culminating in a striking Murano glass chandelier. Japanese styling extends to guest cabins, where subtle floral and bird designs create a serene backdrop. Light-grained wood panels contrast with linear patterns, fostering a soothing ambiance.

An eastern influence is evident in one of the bar areas, featuring a curved copper bar structure below mirrored ceilings. Squared black bar stools offer guests views of the seascape. Marble and glass panels create an airy atmosphere, while sculptures and mirrors add to the sense of movement.

The vast hallways boast cream marble floors, occasionally interrupted by circles of black marble inlays, creating focal points throughout. Above, intricate lighting fixtures sit within circular inlays in the ceiling, casting light onto the focal points below. Walls are textured and where textured panels are not evident, murals and artwork adorn large expanses of wall.

Accommodation

Kismet offers accommodation for up to 20 guests in 11 suites. The master suite is a standout feature, spanning two decks and offering a skylight and fireplace. The master suite includes warm, golden colors on metallic surfaces and silks that contrast with dark lacquered panels. Gold leaf on scalloped panels provides a fan effect, creating a sophisticated yet inviting space. The suite includes twin bathrooms and dressing rooms, a private Jacuzzi, a sunbathing area, and a dedicated staircase leading to a panoramic master office complete with a conference table for up to six and a pantry. The office incorporates red leather upholstery and marquetry by Silverlining on dark lacquered panels.

The guest cabins on Kismet are themed after famous couture houses and are located on the main deck. Each cabin has ornate doors with a doorplate in cut glass and metal inlay identifying each. The cabins feature floor-to-ceiling windows, lavish bathrooms with feature stones, and unique decorative elements such as Lalique birds affixed to the walls and ceiling for example.

Kismet is designed to accommodate a crew of up to 40. The crew area includes an immense crew lounge that resembles a buffet restaurant with different table sizes and variable seating arrangements. This space is filled with light, providing a pleasant environment where the crew can rest and refuel.

Performance & Capabilities

Kismet is equipped with a hybrid propulsion system that includes PTI (power take-in electric motor) and PTO (power take-off generator), contributing to its efficient and versatile performance. The engine room, often referred to as the "TRON experience," is visually accessible through a glass-lined, well-lit corridor.

The propulsion system features engines from MTU, gearboxes and PTI/PTO technology from Reintjes, and a multidrive system along with an SCR system from Danfoss. This setup ensures that Kismet is Tier III-compliant with an effective heat recovery system. The integration of these components marks a new arrangement for the shipyard, which has been executed successfully.

Kismet’s hybrid system allows the yacht to cruise on electric power for up to 15 minutes, enough to navigate sensitive areas with reduced environmental impact.

The yacht's two shaft lines can generate up to 600 kW each, meeting the electrical needs of 37 crew members and 12 guests under normal operating conditions.

Leisure & Entertainment

The cinema, located near the engine space, displays 1920s art deco decor with quilted walls, faux suede, and polished bronze. The cinema ceiling mimics sunrays, and the luminous bar adds to the visual appeal.

A two-deck Nemo room offers a fully immersive cinema experience with viewing windows both above and below the waterline. The styling is bold, featuring rich dark turquoise chairs with occasional black line patterns, complemented by beautifully carved wood armrests arranged over three tiers. Gold and black cushions add contrast to the seating. Quilted turquoise walls and art deco ceiling styling adorn the entrance and ceiling, enhancing the room's striking ambiance. The staircase harmonizes with the color scheme, while gold trim accents are used to dramatic effect throughout the space.

Kismet is equipped with three fire pits: one on the main deck aft for entertaining under the stars, another on the owner's deck aft for an intimate setting, and a pool deck forward fire pit offering far-reaching views on evenings. Two spa pools, located on the top deck and owner's deck, provide relaxation and socializing opportunities. The top deck also features a DJ booth and an expansive dance floor on the bridge deck aft.

Wellness

Kismet boasts a generous spa area, complete with a massage room, steam room, sauna, cold plunge, cryo chamber, and ice fountain. The styling exudes a Zen-like tranquility, featuring low-slung cream chairs on cream marble floors. Walls paneled in mid-brown leather add warmth to the serene atmosphere.

A large glass expanse provides a view into the gym area, which is well-equipped with running, cycling, and climbing machines, all overlooking the water. A small juice bar with a vertical wavy line pattern offers refreshments, featuring a black marble top inset with dark wood columns, a massive TV screen, and a textured ceiling.

A stunning glass-enclosed circular fire pit, set on a marble base atop a dark wood floor, serves as the centerpiece of a relaxing area furnished with brass-supported chaise lounges and black fabric. Sparkling ceilings of tiny inset lights illuminate the massage room, adorned with lanterns in a Japanese styling theme, and textured walls featuring swirling patterns.
