Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 25'11" beam and a 8'6" draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 403 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Exterior Design
L'Albatros is a 43.6m (143ft) tri-deck motor yacht with proven world-cruising capabilities. Built by Nishii Shipyard (Sterling Yachts) in Japan and launched in 1985, she benefits from the shipyard’s expertise in constructing ocean-going commercial vessels. Her robust construction is complemented by a blue hull with a red boot stripe, a white superstructure, and teak cappings, lending her a distinctive and classic profile.
The yacht’s exterior spaces are generous, featuring a cockpit and bridge deck aft set up for dining, as well as ample deck areas designed for al fresco relaxation. Rich mahogany flooring paired with neutral-toned furnishings creates an inviting atmosphere outdoors. A Jacuzzi is located on the sundeck, enhancing the leisure spaces further.
Recent refit works completed between 2017 and 2022 included a full hull and superstructure repaint, the laying of new teak on the sundeck and main deck passageways, and a series of technical upgrades to maintain her high standards.
Interior Design
Inside, L'Albatros is styled in an elegant and comfortable fashion. The main saloon and sky lounge are both fitted with bar counters, offering relaxed social spaces finished with a refined aesthetic. Rich mahogany continues through the interior, balanced by neutral furnishings to create a timeless and welcoming environment.
Accommodation
L'Albatros accommodates 12 guests across six cabins, including a full-beam master stateroom, two VIP suites, two double cabins, and one twin.
The master stateroom is situated forward on the main deck and offers a spacious, full-beam layout with a walk-around king-size bed and generous closet space. The adjoining en-suite bathroom features a newly refurbished shower room. Adjacent to the master suite is a private owner's office and study, complete with a desk and a convertible queen-size sleeper sofa.
One guest cabin is particularly spacious, featuring a walk-around queen-size bed, an en-suite bathroom with marble countertops, an oversized shower stall with bench seating, a marine toilet, and a walk-in cedar-lined closet with ample shelving and hanging space.
Three further guest cabins each have queen-size beds and en-suite bathrooms fitted with marine toilets, marble countertops with sinks, and oversized showers with bench seating. Cedar-lined hanging closets and drawer storage are also provided.
The fifth guest cabin is a twin, offering a spacious layout with an en-suite bathroom that includes a marine toilet, a marble countertop with sink, and a large shower with bench seating.
Crew accommodation is arranged across five cabins, allowing for up to nine crew members. The captain’s cabin is located port side aft of the bridge and is fitted with a double bed, private head, and shower. A crew cabin aft to port provides a single berth with ensuite wethead, hanging locker, and drawers. Adjacent to the crew mess on the starboard side, a cabin with over-under twin beds offers a hanging locker, drawers, and a head with separate shower and sink. Forward to port, a crew cabin with over-under twin bunks features a hanging locker and an ensuite head with separate shower and sink. Another crew cabin forward to starboard is also fitted with over-under twin bunks, a hanging locker, emergency hatch exit, and a head with separate shower and sink.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C32) 1,009hp engines, motor yacht L'Albatros is capable of reaching a top speed of 15 knots, and comfortably cruises at 12 knots. With her 16,198 gallon fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 3,500 nautical miles at 15 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters.
