Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminum superstructure with teak-laid decks, Madame Gu features a 13.6m (44.6ft) beam and a 4.6m (15.1ft) draft. The yacht was built as Project Dream and has an internal volume of 2,920 GT (Gross Tonnes). The yacht's internal volume stands at 2,920 gross tonnes (GT). Notably, the design includes a helipad.

The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in February 2013, she underwent sea trials in the subsequent months, with delivery to her owners completed in April 2013.

Exterior Design

The project's directive was clear – to "break the mold," and Feadship delivered precisely that. With a sleek, sporty, and elegantly aggressive silhouette, the design features a long and open bow, complemented by cantilevered balconies and fold-out terraces. The Empress Blue hull - a bespoke shade infused with rich turquoise tones - houses two forward garages for the matching custom tenders. The beach club and wellness area features side balconies to create an immersive water experience. The transom is designed to lower, transforming into a beach club aft, providing comfortable seating and easy access to water activities from the extensive tenders and toys garage. A central staircase emerges when the transom is lowered, facilitating easy access from the deck above.

At the waterline, the hull features a double red stripe against the lower part of the white hull before the distinguishable blue comes to the fore. Oval, non-obtrusive windows within the hull are subtle. On the foredeck, the helipad has an intricate motif decorating the landing area, and wings extend from each side to provide the clearance required for the helicopter, creating width within the yacht's slim form. The helipad lowers to provide a hangar for the aircraft.

Aft of the helipad, a circular jacuzzi offers guests a private oasis, complemented by relaxed seating. For additional seclusion, a small pool forward on the bridge deck provides a tranquil retreat. The superstructure's gentle curvature and rounded decks contribute to an overall sense of elegance, softening the yacht's upper levels.

Interior Design

The yacht is in private Russian ownership, and interior photographs have never been made available in the public domain.

Accommodation

Madame Gu provides accommodation for up to 12 guests in six suites. The layout comprises a spectacular owner's suite, in addition to five guest suites, all with private en-suite facilities, providing flexible accommodation options.

The yacht carries up to 36 crew onboard to ensure full guest service.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by four diesel MTU (20V 4000 M73) 20-cylinder 4,828hp engines, the motor yacht Madame Gu is capable of reaching a top speed of 24 knots and comfortably cruises at 18 knots. The yacht is fitted with stabilizers to increase onboard comfort when the yacht is at anchor.

Wellness

Whilst the yacht itself is shrouded in secrecy, it is known that a well-equipped gym, a wellness area, a glass elevator, a pool and incredible lounge areas, and a second touch-and-go helipad are featured onboard.

Amenities

Madame Gu's Eurocopter Dauphin AS 365N3 helicopter boasts a personalized registration, 3A-MGU, and is housed in a fully enclosed hangar that easily converts into a world-class squash court.

Special Features

The largest superyacht ever built in the Netherlands and by Feadship. The helicopter hangar on the bow features two doors split down the center line, each parting to the side to accommodate the Eurocopter AS365N3 Dauphin. A hydraulic helipad then raises and lowers the aircraft, with its blades folded back.
