Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 8.6m beam and a 2.7m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 498 GT (Gross Tonnes).
The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards.
Exterior Design
The exterior design of the yacht Muse, crafted by the renowned architect Walter Franchini, reflects contemporary trends in yacht aesthetics. Its structure features a high bow that slopes downwards through the midsection and lowers towards the stern. The design employs three key visual elements to draw attention upwards: two uninterrupted side staircases that extend from the transom platform to the sundeck, balconies on each deck, and a prominent roll bar.
This design approach gives the yacht a lighter appearance, despite its substantial length of 48 meters and height of 16.6 meters above the waterline at its tallest point. The pronounced bow shape is highlighted by a diagonal angle close to 45 degrees, balanced by vertical windows. The roll bar cuts horizontally across the superstructure, leading towards the stern. This combination results in a subtle yet assertive form, softened by the beige color chosen for the hull.
Aft of the bow triangle, two couches face each other, providing a quiet space with a view of the wheelhouse. The upper deck features an external platform and covered salon, furnished with a horseshoe-shaped sofa, a large table, and partial shade. On the flydeck, natural teak is used for seat frames and decking, with white leather for the seats and cushions in brown and beige tones. The flydeck includes a rounded bar counter, semi-circular seating, movable chaises longues, a Jacuzzi, and a sunbathing area surrounded by smoked plexiglass for privacy.
Interior Design
Muse's main deck has a rectangular salon made for conversation, featuring six distinct areas for gathering. Each area is equipped with its own table or counter, facilitating interaction among guests. The materials chosen for the salon are primarily leather, maple, ebony, teak, alcantara, and fitted carpets, contributing to a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Vertical lines within the salon are emphasized by leather-covered columns, which separate the salon from the dining area. Horizontal steel bars complement these columns, running along curtain panels and integrating into the leather columns themselves. The dining table, topped with glossy ebony veneer and a double rhombus design, is supported by steel legs wrapped in the same leather used for cabinet doors and low coffee tables. Doors in the salon have a dual finish: ebony on the salon side and teak with a central leather panel on the main foyer side.
The galley is equipped with practical features, including a photoelectric cell hidden beneath the skirting board, allowing for hands-free door operation. This serves as an efficient solution for managing dishes or when the vessel is in motion.
The helm is designed with a focus on functionality and safety. Equipped with necessary navigation, alarm, and control systems, it offers a comfortable environment for steering. The furniture includes two pilot's chairs and a padded support bar for standing steering. Bordeaux-colored leather upholsters the seating and sofa behind the control panel, with additional panels in oyster-colored leather. The floor is finished in pearl-white oak, providing a clean and functional space.
The upper deck also includes a home theater, day head, and bar.
Accommodation
The luxury yacht Muse can host up to 12 guests across six tastefully furnished cabins. The master stateroom is located on the main deck and is designed to offer a serene retreat. Its positioning slightly aft of amidships minimizes movement, providing a stable and restful environment even in moderate sea conditions. This spacious suite features a large bathroom and a walk-in wardrobe, covering half of the owner's private space, ensuring both functionality and a sense of openness.
In addition to the master stateroom, Muse offers a VIP cabin located on the upper deck and four additional guest cabins on the lower deck.
