The Biggest Superyachts on Anchor at the 2024 Monaco Yacht Show

Displaying yachts on anchor at the Monaco show allows brokers and shipyards to highlight the yacht's stature from the water.

Monaco's Port Hercule is an iconic venue that every September showcases the finest superyachts for sale. With many of these being among the world's biggest yachts, dock space is limited, making anchoring a practical solution.

Superyachts are displayed at anchor during the Monaco Yacht Show for several reasons, the primary being the limited dock space at Monaco’s Port Hercule. With the sheer size of many of the superyachts and the high demand for this prestigious event, there's simply not enough room to accommodate all yachts directly at the dock. Anchoring provides a practical solution, allowing more yachts to be showcased.

Displaying yachts at anchor allows brokers and shipyards to better showcase a superyacht's full grandeur. It provides an unobstructed view of the yacht’s complete profile, size, and design, which can be difficult to fully appreciate when docked alongside others. Additionally, it offers an exclusive opportunity to capture the buyer's undivided attention during the yacht tender ride from the show to the anchorage. Often using a limousine tender, and traveling in luxury, prospective buyers can admire the yacht from both afar and up close, experiencing the impressive scale of the yacht. This approach enhances the buyer's experience as they are welcomed by the yacht crew, allowing them to envision themselves as the future owner stepping aboard.
