Design & Construction

Designed around a fast displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 26'3" beam and a 6'11" draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 295 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the fifth yacht built on the ThirtySix design. Launched in May 2022 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in July 2022.

Exterior Design

Solemates' silhouette is characterized by long, flowing lines and a contemporary straight bow, which not only lends a sense of elegance and sophistication but also enhances seakeeping capabilities and interior volume.

Her all-aluminium construction ensures a lightweight yet resilient structure, allowing for a graceful presence on the water that belies her substantial amenities and spacious accommodations. The straight bow, a distinctive feature, serves multiple purposes—extending the yacht's waterline for improved performance while simultaneously carving out additional interior space that is a rarity in yachts of this size.

Solemates boasts an expansive upper deck, which Mulder affectionately refers to as a "two-and-a-half deck" or "half-raised pilothouse" due to the substantial exterior space available. This generous area is a highlight of the yacht's design, eschewing the need for a third deck while still providing ample room for relaxation, entertainment, and enjoying panoramic views of the seascape.

The main aft deck welcomes guests with its spacious arrangement, designed to foster an inviting atmosphere for boarding or simply basking in the open air. The furniture design and glass enclosure etched with the yacht's name, combined with the wide opening to the main saloon, contribute to the area's airy ambiance, while the overhead teak finishing adds a touch of warmth and luxury.

Moving to the sun deck, the attention to detail continues with the use of elegant Linley Summit furniture, creating a sense of continuity and cohesion with the levels below. The teak ceiling with a retractable television screen adds a luxurious touch, while the ample seating and a large spa pool invite guests to unwind and soak in the surroundings. A bar with comfortable stools provides a sociable spot for refreshments, with the option to erect a bimini for shade on sun-drenched days.

Moreover, Solemates is equipped with a generously sized garage and a beach club, enhancing the yachting experience with practical amenities that extend the onboard living spaces to the water's edge. The garage houses a Williams 625 tender, featuring a simple roller launch mechanism, while the beach club offers a convenient plug-in shower and substantial storage capacity, connecting seamlessly to the large swim platform.

Interior Design

Stepping into the interior of Solemates, one is welcomed by a rich tapestry of oak and teak, materials meticulously chosen for their durability and natural beauty. The warmth of the woodwork sets a serene stage for the vibrant pops of color provided by the owner's choice of artwork, notably the iconic screen prints of Andy Warhol's Marilyn Monroe. These pieces are a continuation of the owner's personal taste, having adorned the walls of his previous vessel.

The main deck offers a harmonious blend of living and dining spaces, separated by a strategically placed sit-at bar. This feature not only creates a natural transition between the two areas but also serves as an informal gathering spot for guests to enjoy a cocktail or a casual conversation. The dining area is further enhanced by the addition of sliding doors that open onto a balcony, inviting the gentle sea breeze and offering an idyllic setting for a morning coffee or alfresco dining at anchor.

Attention to detail is evident throughout the yacht, with the interior boasting expertly finished AV closets, high-quality air conditioning systems by Heinen & Hopman, and robust joinery at points susceptible to wear and tear, ensuring longevity and enduring elegance. The oak flooring is a testament to the meticulous standards upheld by Mulder Shipyard, chosen not only for its aesthetic appeal but also for its dense and hardwearing properties.

The wheelhouse, with its exceptional visibility and state-of-the-art electronics from Böning, reflects the same level of sophistication found throughout the yacht, seamlessly blending high-tech functionality with comfort and style.

Accommodation

Accommodation aboard Solemates is configured to provide guests with the utmost comfort and privacy. The yacht's clever layout includes up to five sumptuous cabins, capable of welcoming 10 guests to enjoy the vessel's serene environment. Among these, the main-deck owner's suite stands out as a sanctuary of relaxation, offering generous space for a king-size bed—though Solemates features a queen-size bed—and is adorned with a signature skylight that bathes the space in natural light, enhancing the already capacious feel of the full-beam suite.

Not just the owner, but all guests aboard Solemates are treated to cabins meticulously crafted to ensure comfort and versatility. The guest cabins are thoughtfully designed with sliding beds that can be easily transformed to accommodate various guest arrangements, whether it be for individual guests or couples. Each cabin is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, allowing for personal control of entertainment and ambient settings, ensuring a stay that is both tailored and technologically seamless.

Attention to detail is further exemplified in the crew accommodations. Up to six crew members are housed in three double-bunk cabins located forward of the lower deck. These quarters ensure that the crew has their own comfortable and private space, which is essential for maintaining the high standards of service that guests aboard Solemates have come to expect. Each crew cabin is well-appointed, complete with its own shower and toilet, reinforcing Mulder Shipyard's dedication to the welfare and performance of the crew.

Performance & Capabilities

At the heart of Solemates' performance are her two robust Caterpillar C18 engines, which propel this magnificent vessel with reliability and efficiency. The yacht is designed to cruise comfortably at speeds of 12 knots, allowing guests to glide through the water with grace and poise. For those occasions where a swift passage is required, Solemates is capable of reaching a top speed of 18 knots, harnessing the full potential of her engines' revolutions per minute.

Solemates' cruising capabilities do not end with her speed. The yacht's range is equally impressive, affording the owner and guests the luxury of extended voyages without frequent refueling stops.
