Due to be delivered in 2025, Solemates is a 180'5" motor yacht built by Dutch shipyard Heesen. She features exterior design by Omega Architects and interior styling by LUCA DINI Design & Architecture.

Design & Construction

Designed around a fast displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 31'6" beam and a 8'10" draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 760 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Construction started in late 2022 with the keel laid under the project name 'Project Venus'. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in January 2025 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was completed at Heesen's Oss yard in Netherlands where she was commissioned and delivered to her owners.

Exterior Design

The exterior design of the yacht Solemates has muscular and dynamic lines, reflecting its capabilities as a robust motor yacht suitable for open waters. The 55-metre vessel is the latest model in the Steel series, featuring an updated look conceived by Frank Laupman of Omega Architects. The design includes horizontal lines that visually extend the yacht's profile, while continuous tinted glass panes on the main and upper decks contribute to a modern aesthetic.

A notable feature of the design is the "shark tooth" detail on the overhang of the wheelhouse, which gives the yacht a distinctive appearance. The superstructure is free from unnecessary elements such as fashion plates and pillars, allowing for uninterrupted views of the ocean from nearly every vantage point on board. The elimination of window mullions in the main deck dining area and sky lounge further enhances the connection with the surrounding environment.

The yacht is equipped with multiple outdoor areas, including an extended sundeck with a jacuzzi and bar, and an aft terrace that directly connects to the swim platform and beach club. The bridge deck offers informal seating with elevated views, while the foredeck accommodates tenders and water toys.  

Interior Design

The interior design of Solemates is by Luca Dini Design and Architecture, embodying a straightforward yet elegant look. The use of tinted glass panels throughout the main and upper decks enhances the natural light and offers unobstructed views of the surroundings.

The main salon features a modern central atrium with an imposing staircase. The staircase is adorned with acrylic panels embedded with gold flakes and crystals. The decor incorporates a vibrant colour scheme, featuring lime greens, teal, and baby aqua blue, creating a lively atmosphere.

The bridge deck salon is designed for family gatherings and informal meetings, providing a comfortable space to relax and socialise. The design eliminates window mullions in the main deck dining and sky lounge, allowing for a stronger connection with the exterior surroundings and offering clear, expansive views.

The sky lounge, with its uninterrupted ocean vistas, serves as another relaxed space for guests. The interior layout is thoughtfully arranged to promote a sense of openness and facilitate movement between various areas of the yacht.  

Accommodation

The yacht Solemates offers accommodations for up to 12 guests, for a luxurious and comfortable experience on board. The full-beam owner's suite is located on the main deck, providing ample space and privacy. This suite includes a French balcony, allowing the owner to enjoy an outdoor retreat separate from other guests.

Additionally, the yacht features a VIP suite situated on the bridge deck, offering an elevated level of comfort. The lower deck houses four guest cabins, comprising two double guest suites and two twin guest suites, each designed to provide a relaxing environment for guests.

The accommodation is complemented by space for a dedicated crew of 13, ensuring exceptional service and attention to detail throughout the journey.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MTU (8V 4000 M63) 746hp engines, motor yacht Solemates is capable of reaching a top speed of 15 knots, and comfortably cruises at 13 knots. With her 26,417 gallon fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,500 nautical miles at 13 knots.
