Taurica is a 40m motor yacht delivered by Dutch shipyard Heesen in 2014. Her naval architecture and exterior design comes from the drawing boards of Heesen, while Omega Architects is responsible for her interior design.
Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 8m beam and a 2.25m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 321 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Construction started in mid 2011. Launched in February 2014 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in March 2014.
Accommodation
Taurica offers accommodation for up to 10 guests in 5 suites comprising an owners cabin, 2 VIP cabins and 2 twin cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 7 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel MTU (16V 4000 M73L) 16-cylinder 3,800hp engines running at 2050rpm, motor yacht Taurica is capable of reaching a top speed of 29 knots, and comfortably cruises at 27 knots. With her 136,275 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 2,200 nautical miles at 12 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.
Amenities
In addition, a swim platform provides easy access to the ocean. Underwater lights create a dazzling light display when the sun goes down. Taurica also features deck jacuzzi which provides excellent views.
