Design & Construction

Designed around a steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 31'2" beam and a 11'2" draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 596 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Construction started in late 1994. She was delivered to her owners in May 1996.

Exterior Design

Tempo features a raked bow, contributing to its sleek and dynamic profile. The yacht's exterior is finished in a pristine white color for both the hull and superstructure, providing a clean and unified look. The deck is made from high-quality teak, which adds durability and a touch of classic maritime tradition. The color scheme is complemented by black accents; the boot top and below the waterline areas are painted in a contrasting black. This creates a striking visual balance and underscores the yacht's streamlined appearance.

Adjacent to the saloon are double doors that open to a teak-laid deck, partially sheltered by the sun deck above. This area includes a bar, space for a large buffet table, and additional seating. The aft deck stairs lead up to the sun deck, making it easily accessible for guests. The sun deck itself is designed for relaxation, featuring sunpads, teak steamer-chairs, sunbeds, and a centrally positioned Jacuzzi pool. The mast, with its minimal dimensions, incorporates a refrigerator, icemaker, and seating, ensuring minimal shade is cast across the sunbathing areas.

Below the aft deck, a tender garage houses the yacht's Boston Whaler and Novamarine RIB tenders, along with various water toys. These are launched using a hydraulic beam-crane. This design keeps the main deck clear, enhancing the overall usability and aesthetic of the yacht.

Interior Design

The interior design of the yacht Tempo, constructed by Codecasa, is characterized by practical elegance and functionality. The primary materials used throughout the yacht include limed-oak paneling and Carrara marble, creating a cohesive and tasteful environment.

The galley, positioned to the port side of the guest entrance lobby on the main deck, is equipped with Miele units. It features a super-large oven, two barbecue hobs, and five cooker hobs, catering to the yacht's significant entertainment needs. Additionally, a dumb-waiter provides efficient food transport to a second pantry on the bridge deck, facilitating seamless service.

The helm, designed for functionality, is situated forward of the bridge deck saloon. It allows for clear views and easy navigation, ensuring safe and efficient operation of the vessel.

The main lounge on the bridge deck serves as Tempo's primary entertainment area. The saloon is furnished with chesterfields, easy chairs, and large settees, which can be rearranged to maximize space. The room is equipped with a grand piano and a high-fidelity sound system, making it ideal for gatherings.

On the main deck, an intimate lounge adjacent to the dining room is designed for informal gatherings. Featuring limed-oak paneling, gold-framed prints, and Regency-style curtains, this space is suitable for television viewing or quiet relaxation. The dining room itself includes a 12-seater octagonal table and matching sideboards, continuing the classic decorative theme.

The bridge deck also includes a bar area, conveniently located near the stairs leading to the sun deck, which is primarily used for sunbathing. This deck includes amenities such as a refrigerator, icemaker, and seating, and is spacious enough to accommodate a light helicopter without modification.

Accommodation

Tempo provides comfortable and spacious accommodation for up to 12 guests. The yacht features a total of six cabins, ensuring a premium experience for all on board.

The owner's suite is situated on the main deck and takes full advantage of the yacht's beam. The suite is accessed through an attractive study that includes a desk and an L-shaped sofa. From the study, the suite opens into a lady’s oak-lined dressing room and a peacefully decorated stateroom. The stateroom features heavy curtains and fabric-covered walls that blend well with pale oak joinery. A second dressing room, lined with shelves and glass-fronted shirt drawers, is located on the port side of the bed. The forward section of the suite is dedicated to a full-beam his-and-hers bathroom, divided by a centrally-positioned Jacuzzi spa-bath and flanked by separate head compartments.

On the lower deck, four guest staterooms open off a hallway lined with linen cupboards and a conveniently positioned locker for cleaning utensils. These cabins include two double staterooms, which are separated from the engine room by their marble-encrusted bathrooms. Additionally, two twin cabins, which share a common forward bulkhead with the crew quarters, are provided with showers. All guest cabins feature high ceilings and furnishings that include attractive print bedspreads, fabric bedheads, and wardrobes finished with pale lacquer framed in oak to give a Japanese screen effect.

An additional double stateroom is located on the main deck, adjacent to the port side deck entrance. This stateroom is accessed from the crew lobby, making it highly suitable for household staff.

The crew quarters are designed for optimal comfort and efficiency, featuring a large mess and four double-bunked en-suite cabins. These quarters are considered by the crew to be highly satisfactory. If needed, temporary accommodation for an additional crew member can be provided in the laundry room, which is equipped with washing facilities and a head. The captain’s cabin, a double with an en-suite shower room, is located on the main deck adjacent to the main freezer room and storage refrigerators.
