The 44.2m motor yacht Valeria was delivered to her owners in 1975 by Dutch shipyard Feadship. The yacht's elegant exterior design is by Arthur de Fever, while her interiors are the work of Pierre Tanter.
Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 8.05m beam and a 2.9m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 360 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Accommodation
Valeria offers accommodation for up to 12 guests in 6 suites comprising an owners cabin, 1 VIP cabin, 2 double cabins and 2 twin cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 9 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C32 ACERT) 725hp engines, motor yacht Valeria is capable of reaching a top speed of 15 knots, and comfortably cruises at 13 knots. With her 52,020 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 5,000 nautical miles at an economic speed of 10 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters.
Amenities
In addition, a swim platform provides easy access to the ocean. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort and underwater lights will turn plenty of heads when the sun goes down. Valeria also features a deck jacuzzi for cooling off.
Special Features
Originally built for for Mt. Roy Carver from the USA this yacht was the first in the world with facilities for landing a helicopter on deck. She was later sold in 1978 and became the state yacht for the Libyan government. In 2005 she was purchased by an Isle of Man company and refitted in Southampton in the UK. The full-scale refit included the lengthening of her hull from 38m to 44.2m, re-organisation of sundeck on the upper deck and sky lounge with jacuzzi on flybridge deck. Installation of Zero speed stabilizers, new generators and new climate-conditioning systems.
