The 39.6m motor yacht White Knight was delivered to her owners in 2008 by Italian shipyard Maiora. Her naval architecture and interior design comes from the drawing boards of Maiora, while Roberto Del Re is responsible for her exterior design.
Design & Construction
Designed around a planing GRP hull and superstructure she features a 7.6m beam and a 2.8m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 135 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the thirty-eighth yacht built on the Maiora 39DP design.
Exterior Design
White Knight boasts Italian styling and top-notch build quality, presenting a sleek and sophisticated appearance on the water. Its pristine white hull and superstructure feature a raked bow leading to a compact foredeck with personal watercraft storage and an integrated sun pad. Deep walkways along the main deck lead to a sheltered main deck aft, framed by high top sides, and culminating in a curved stern with a short bathing platform.
Slim vertical portholes adorn the hull, allowing natural light to illuminate the lower deck accommodation areas while reflecting the surrounding water. Open gunwales, arranged in sets of three interspersed with fairleads, add visual interest to the exterior. The wave-inspired curvature of the main deck, accentuated by a separate 'eye', creates a sense of fluidity throughout the yacht. A smart mid-grey canopy over the sun deck, featuring forward-leaning dynamics and sleek black fixtures and fittings on the radar mast, adds to the yacht's modern aesthetic.
Al fresco dining is available on the main deck aft, offering a blend of banquette seating and stylish teak and woven chairs. Integrated storage, a wet bar, and coolers provide convenient amenities for guests. Additional dining options are available on the sky deck, nestled under the canopy of the radar arch. This area also offers space for gym equipment for on-deck workouts, casual seating in plantation teak with luxurious cushions, and a bar area shaded by the canopy. Large sun pads positioned aft invite guests to relax and soak up the sun, while a port-side stairway provides access to the deck below.
Interior Design
The interiors of White Knight exude a relaxed beach house ambiance, characterized by cream leather sofas, woven rugs, wicker lanterns, basket plant holders, plain cream walls, and wooden blinds. A large round mirror enhances the sense of space and reflects light by the dining table, while small smart lamps provide a gentle ambiance in the evenings.
The cabins maintain the neutral palette, featuring cream rugs on wooden floors. Integrated seating with soft illumination at its base adds interest within a deliberately simplistic and relaxing cabin vibe. Opening portholes ensure fresh air flows into the cabin space, enhancing the overall comfort of guests onboard.
Accommodation
White Knight offers accommodation for up to 12 guests in 6 suites comprising an owners cabin, 1 VIP cabin, 2 double cabins and 2 twin cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 8 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel MTU (16V4000M90) 3,850hp engines running at 2100rpm, motor yacht White Knight is capable of reaching a top speed of 32 knots, and comfortably cruises at 27 knots. With her 32,830 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 1,152 nautical miles. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters. Her planing hull design means she is fast and efficient as she slices through the water.
Amenities
A gym with all the latest equipment allows her guests to keep their workout routines while at sea. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. White Knight also features a deck jacuzzi for cooling off.
