As interest in luxury yachts continues to surge, the eagerly anticipated and recently announced Azimut Grande 30M, crafted by renowned Italian shipyard Azimut, is poised to capture the imagination of maritime enthusiasts globally.
The Grande 30M is the result of a first-time collaboration with m2atelier, an international architecture and design studio known for its unique blend of residential and contemporary art influences. The interiors that m2atelier has designed for the Grande 30M showcase their signature architectural language, creating fluid and informal spaces that invite relaxation and socialization.
The exteriors, crafted by the talented Alberto Mancini, inherit the Deck2Deck Terrace and the Infinity Skydeck from its predecessors — the Grande 26M and Grande 36M — while evolving these features further.
A distinctive element of the Grande 30M is its Infinity Skydeck, which evolves from a semi to a full walkaround upper deck, seamlessly connecting the stern to the bow. This unique design allows guests to experience an unprecedented level of fluidity between the yacht's exterior and interior spaces. The Glass House on the upper deck transforms into an open-air veranda with fully disappearing full-height windows, merging the aft lounge with the infinity pool that overlooks the sea off the bow.
The Deck2Deck Terrace is another innovative feature that exemplifies Azimut's desire to extend onboard spaces. This terrace is ingeniously created by raising the teak hatch of the garage and expanding the cockpit to provide a terrace over the sea. Furthermore, light plays a central role throughout the yacht, with large floor-to-ceiling windows inviting natural illumination into every corner. Even the internal staircase is designed to be a work of art, allowing light to cascade from the upper deck to the main deck.
Azimut has also placed a focus on environmental responsibility, with the Grande 30M being part of the brand's Low Emission Yachts lineup. The series aims to reduce consumption and CO2 emissions by 20 to 30% compared to similar-sized models. Achieving such eco-friendly performance involves a trifecta of strategies: the extensive use of carbon fiber for weight reduction, the development of efficient hulls tailored to each series, and the implementation of innovative propulsion systems such as the POD system installed on the Grande 30M.
The Grande 30M is expected to be unveiled to the public in 2025, so if you're in the market for a new yacht that oozes both sophistication and sustainability, you haven't got too long to wait.
