Back better than ever before, the new version of the popular Z55 makes its world premiere at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show 2018. Making its mark as the first vessel from the Dutch brand to sport twin Volvo Penta IPS-1350 engines, the speedy yacht can reach an admirable top speed of 42 knots.
Scheduled to make an appearance between October 31 and November 4 2018, the new updated Z55 is the fastest vessel created by the brand and has been deemed a 'Rolls Royce on water'. Generating 2,000 HP, the yacht has an impressive cruising speed of 34 knots which, despite its speed, provides a smooth and comfortable ride.
In addition to the speed enhancement of the Z55, extra measures have also been taken to reduce the noise. Extra rubber matting on the chine and engine room insulation usually found on megayachts are just some moderations which make the yacht as quiet as possible.
Since Volvo Penta started building the IPS engines, Zeelander has used them. The successful cooperation that started in 2004 has even become more powerful, as Zeelander will now be one of the first yachts in the Netherlands powered with a twin Volvo Penta IPS-1350
