Following extensive analysis and formal discussions, government officials from Broward County and the City of Fort Lauderdale granted their approval for the world's biggest in-water boating event to go ahead between October 28 - November 1, adding another historic milestone to the event's name.
Incorporating measures in compliance with Informa Markets’ AllSecure health and safety standards set in place for Coronavirus, FLIBS is officially set to go ahead for five days from October 28.
Held across its usual seven show locations, the event aims to go ahead in the best interests of the industry by putting on a show that supports the yachting sector and gives yacht buyers the chance to peruse a great variety of vessels in one place.
Reflecting on the positive decision, Mayor of Fort Lauderdale Dean Trantalis, explained the County Commission had 'worked with the Boat Show to put together a solid plan to ensure it will be held with the utmost safety'.
We are pleased our local officials continue to recognize the importance of this event and have given us their full support to move forward.
