Lazzara Yachts has launched its first Ultra High Volume (UHV) superyacht, after SANDRO hit the water in Antalya, Turkey recently.
Lazzara Yachts claim the 26.5m (86.7ft) yacht has the largest gross tonnage in its class at 170 GRT, as well as having four large cabins that “rival those on a yacht twice her size”. It is also, according to the American yard, the first yacht ever engineered without traditional through hulls.
SANDRO was designed by Lazzara Yachts and built by Euro Marine Shipyards and is the first in Lazzara’s UHV line, a range of yachts designed and built with the aim of delivering industry leading interior volumes and space utilization.
Other highlights on the tri-deck yacht include “the most spacious skylounge in the market segment”, an elevated wheelhouse with 180-degree views, a large sunpad and crescent-shaped foredeck seating area and an expansive main salon with dining for eight beneath chandelier lighting.
She offers accommodation for eight guests across four cabins made up of a main deck master suite, a VIP suite and two double cabins on the lower deck. Twin Volvo D11-720 engines give a top speed of 16 knots a cruising speed of 12 knots.
Tampa-based Lazzara Yachts was established in 1955 and offers Express (LSX), Sport (LSY), Motor (LMY), Ultra High Volume (UHV), and Catamaran (LPC) series yachts. According to YachtBuyer intelligence, the largest yacht it has delivered was 35.6m (116.7ft) QM in 2008.
