Ultimate Catamarans has revealed its 29.5m (97ft) Spaceline 100 Hybrid catamaran, an eco-conscious multihull with an electric hybrid drive for silent, zero-emission cruising.
The Spaceline 100 Hybrid’s electric motor can be either powered by the batteries, charged by solar-generated electricity, or via two diesel engines continuously switch on and added to the power generator for longer journeys at a higher speed.
When she is at anchor the power comes completely from the solar cell-fed battery, ensuring a quiet night with no motor running.
The four-floor design gives the Spaceline 100 a total area of around 800 square meters (8,611 sq. ft) and plenty of space on the main aft deck for sunloungers and relaxation areas.
The interiors are also characterized by lots of space. The 109 square meters (1,173 sq. ft) main salon offers 360 ° panoramic views, whilst at 55 square meters (592 sq. ft) and 25 to 27 (269 to 290 sq. ft) square meters the master cabin and VIP cabins offer volumes not usually found on a yacht of this size.
The main salon and cabins also benefit from lots of light due to huge windows and there is headroom throughout of at least 2.2m (7.2ft). In total the Spaceline 100 Hybrid accommodates 12 guests across five cabins.
