New layout for Cannes Yachting Festival 2019

One of the most prestigious yachting events in the world is returning to the French Riviera, for its 42nd edition.

In just under two weeks time the iconic location of Cannes will open its doors to thousands of yachting enthusiasts with prestige brands and a new layout on offer.

Scheduled to run between the 10-15 September 2019, the Cannes Yachting Festival will once again be divided between Vieux Port and Port Pierre Canto.

Around 700 vessels will be in attendance throughout the duration of the show, in addition to many reputable premium brands and respective broker houses.

A new layout for 2019

The new layout for the 2019 edition is all about making the overall viewing experience smoother for visitors to the five day show.

By launching an exclusive sailing boat area, there are now more dedicated spaces to each type of boat so every owner can find everything they need all in one area.

We had over a hundred sailboats on the water during previous years, but they were mixed with motor boats. A lot were in a very tight space, so the visibility for visitors was not so good. Most other boat shows, worldwide, are dedicated to having one type of boat as 80% of their content. In Cannes we have a lot of different families of products, a rich content.

The new sailing boat zone will be located at the Port Pierre Canto display and reports say there will be over 100 new sailing boats plus around 80 related exhibitors alongside them.

In addition to the new sailing boat zone, other zones for the show will be making their return such as the luxury gallery for premium retail opportunities and the fast and furious supercars display.

Other areas such as the tenders and toys exhibit will still be featuring at the iconic event, maintaining the diversity of the show. Just in a more organised manner.

Superyachts

With sailing boats being untangled from the motorboats for the 2019 edition, the display of superyachts will certainly benefit from the new layout.

A total of 52 superyachts will attend this year with an average length of 36 metres. Among the 52 there are some notable debuts to watch out for including the Azimut S8 and the anticipated global debut of the Arcadia Sherpa XL.

Visitors to the show will be able to get up close to the models for private viewings and learn more about the shipyards with representatives alongside each of the stands.

Some of the strongest appearances sheduled for the 2019 show are from Benetti and Overmarine, who both have five vessels to showcase.
