New Italian yard Rosetti Superyachts has given yacht lovers a look inside its inaugural yacht, 38m (125ft) EMOCEAN.
The motor yacht is billed by the yard as “as not your typical explorer yacht” and recently made its world debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival. Rosetti Superyachts itself was created as the yachting arm of commercial shipbuilding conglomerate Rosetti Marino in 2017
The photos show the influence the experienced Owners have had on the build, which includes large windows and openings, a custom-designed wine cellar with a 150 bottle capacity and a 150 square meter (1615 sq. ft) sundeck sporting a Jacuzzi pool with a waterfall feature.
“The owners of M/Y EMOCEAN came to us because of our background in building thoroughly reliable commercial vessels – this was the first thing that they put on their brief,” says Andrea Giora, RSY Sales & Marketing Director. “On the other hand, they wanted to be able to interact with the builder, to know the suppliers, to speak with them and select the best contractor for each element that was to be installed on board.”
The yacht features a contemporary exterior, courtesy of Hydro Tec, with tense, angular lines, and her 700 square meters (7.535 sq. ft) of space are divided equally between the interior and exterior.
Inside the custom-designed wine cellar acts as a divider between the main deck guest areas and the Owner’s cabin, which features a private office, large His and Hers bathrooms and a walk-in wardrobe.
The lower deck is home to the beach club along with four guest cabins, three crew cabins, a crew mess, pantry and galley. Unusually the main lounge is located on the upper deck. The yacht is crowned by the 150 square meter (1615 sq. ft) sundeck with a Jacuzzi pool, large bar unit, gym area and dining space for 12 guests.
The interiors come from Ravenna-based design firm BurdissoCapponi Yachts and Design and showcase another area where the Owner’s influence is felt - the custom-designed staircase.
Stylistically, this is not your typical explorer yacht.

“The project was born from the close collaboration and synergy with the owners who expressed their tastes and desires, functional and layout needs,” says Francesca Burdisso. “Following various meetings it emerged clearly that the staircase would become the fulcrum of the project, reflecting character and style that runs throughout the yacht.”
EMOCEAN is powered by twin MAN D2868 LE 425 engines that give a maximum speed of 13 knots and a range of 5,000nm at a cruising speed of 10 knots.
“Stylistically, this is not your typical explorer yacht,” says Andrea Giora, RSY Sales & Marketing Director. “But in other ways it complies with the explorer concept, including a huge range of 5,000 nautical miles at 10 knots, solid design and construction, and great storage volumes. So in terms of the main characteristics of what true explorers are all about, she is definitely an explorer yacht!”
The yard has also announced it is constructing a sister ship for the 432GT explorer yacht, which is expected to be delivered in the summer of 2023.
The Rosetti Marino Group was established in Ravenna in 1925 as a mechanical workshop. It branched into constructing ferries and tugboats in the 1990s before turning to the superyacht sector in 2017.
