Sanlorenzo has achieved a significant milestone by receiving the world’s first "Digital Yachting" certification from RINA for its SP110 model. This certification, awarded to the sixth unit of the SP110 line, marks a new era in the company's commitment to digital transformation and innovation in the yachting industry.
RINA, which stands for Registro Italiano Navale, is a leading international classification society and certification body based in Italy. Established in 1861, RINA provides classification, certification, and technical services to the maritime, energy, and transportation industries. In the world of yachting, RINA is renowned for setting standards and ensuring the safety, quality, and environmental compliance of superyachts.
In collaboration with D.gree, a brand of SailADV, and under RINA’s supervision, Sanlorenzo is advancing yacht performance, safety, and yacht owner and guest experience through cutting-edge digital technologies. The Italian yacht-building company has developed sophisticated monitoring and supervision systems designed for use by customers, managers, technicians, captains, and crew.
The H-Log monitoring system installed on the Sanlorenzo SP110 yacht collects over 800 parameters, including functional states, onboard data, and alarms. This system enhances safety, efficiency, comfort, and overall yacht performance. Supported by the H-System platform, yacht status can be monitored both locally and remotely across various devices, providing comprehensive oversight.
Real-time visualization and remote monitoring capabilities allow for swift decision-making and scenario analysis based on actual data, reducing unexpected issues and improving performance and safety.
This achievement confirms the high level of digitalization we have reached through ongoing innovation and reaffirms our commitment to pushing the boundaries of what is possible in yachting."

RINA's Digital Yacht Class Notation certifies onboard systems for monitoring and controlling essential and non-essential functions through data management and remote analysis. The certification process includes requirements such as:
- Computer-Based Systems (CBS): Simplified hardware and software specifications for yachts under 500 GT.
- Data Shore Transfer (ADC): Guidelines for secure data transfer between the yacht and shore.
- Cyber Safety: Standards to protect onboard digital systems from cyber threats for yachts over 500 GT.
The SP110’s certification represents Sanlorenzo’s forward-thinking approach and sets a new global standard for digital yachting.
