Turkish builder Vicem Yachts has delivered its first Vicem 82 Classic model, the 25.1m (82ft) motor yacht ALECTO.
The fully-custom, flybridge cruiser has been built for a three-time Vicem owner and shares many similarities with other yachts in the Vicem fleet, most notably her timeless Downeast style and a classically finished interior marked by mahogany veneers and premium joinery. She has also been built using the cold-molded wood and epoxy techniques that Vicem Yachts has become known for.
“We are very proud of our newest creation, the custom-built superyacht. This design was designed as a perfect blend of the client’s needs, who requested a premium cruising yacht with the ultimate in accommodations and luxury finishes,” says Yigit Akbarlas, Production Manager. “In addition, this yacht offers owners the flexibility to captain the vessel themselves, or for a small crew to live and work onboard in safety and style.”
ALECTO offers accommodation for six guests in three staterooms, including what the builder describes as a “massive full-beam Owner’s stateroom”. An array of social spaces are spread across the yacht’s three decks. These include a main salon that opens into the aft cockpit on a single level through double sliding doors and can accommodate up to 20 guests and an alfresco dining area on the bridge deck with a wine chiller and barbecue.
Performance-wise the motor yacht features twin 900hp Volvo Penta diesel engines to give a top speed of just under 18 knots and a cruising speed of 15 knots. The Vicem 82 Classic has been built with a hard-chined semi-displacement hull, using cold-molded wood and epoxy techniques which produces a hull that is lighter, stronger and more durable than traditionally built fiberglass boats.
ALECTO is expected to make her public debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September.
