Azimut has used the Cannes Yachting Festival to reveal an order book worth in excess of €1billion ($1.17billion) and an exciting series of launches planned for the year ahead.

The Italian yard was one of several shipyards to reveal strong sales figures and a positive outlook for the future of the yachting industry at the show, saying it never had “anything like the year it had just experienced”. The yard has a production value of €850million ($1billion) for 2021, mainly in the 25m (80ft) and up category with a year-on-year increase in production value of €100million ($117million). 2022 looks set to carry on where 2021 has left off, with Azimut continuing its exciting program of launches that saw the Grande Trideck, Azimut 68, Azimut 53 and the new Magellano 66 debuted at Cannes this year.

The first new yacht to debut will be the Verve 42, set to be officially unveiled at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show next month. Sporting an innovative outboard design, the boat will be hoping to replicate the success of its bigger sister, the Verve 47, introduced at the Miami Boat Show in 2020 and with 55 units already sold.

That will be followed by the Magellano 30 Metri in the spring of 2022, a crossover yacht with a dual mode hull for long-range cruising. Also adding to the extensive Azimut fleet in 2022 will be the Grande 26 METRI and the Grande 36 METRI, set to join Azimut’s largest motor yacht range the Grande Collection.

Then 2023 will see the introduction of the Sea Deck concept, a solution that will offer even smaller boats from 15m (50ft) in length the chance to experience the true glamour of much larger yachts thanks to an innovative expandable beach area.
