Presented at the inaugural ACREW Business Awards during a virtual event on 7 December 2020, the GCCM faced tough competition from other Australasian marinas including the runner up Coral Sea Marina Resort from the Whitsunday Islands.
Voted on by a staggering 15,000 Captains and crew members, marinas were voted on in respect of their services, customer service experience and the quality of facilities for visiting superyachts.
With a team of senior Captains making the final decisions on the winning nominations, the inaugural ACrew Business Awards set out to recognize leaders in superyacht marinas, as well as provisions companies and superyacht agents representing yachts for sale.
Our aim was to design the best marina and shipyard facility which would be the base for Australia’s leading marine trades.

GCCM
In an exciting year that saw GCCM celebrate their china anniversary, early developments in 2020 saw the addition of over 80 businesses, of which employ more than 700 marine contractors.
Further future developments have also been laid on the table, with goals to double the influence and footprint of GCCM and further cement Queensland as an Australasian superyacht hub.
'Humbled and proud' of its achievement, the high profile award tops a successful year for the marina, during which it conducted an in-water refinish of 63m superyacht SuRi and were chosen by Gulf Craft as its preferred shipyard.
