Design & Construction
Designed around a full displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 8.59m beam and a 2.95m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 447 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Exterior Design
Highlander's exterior design, originally crafted by John Bannenberg, has been thoughtfully updated while preserving its classic lines. The yacht now features enhanced sharp edges and stainless steel guardrails, adding a modern touch. A significant new paint job has transformed her hull into a deeper, dark green, making Highlander easily recognizable among other yachts.
The top deck has been extended forward and features built-in seating, sunbathing areas, and a bar. A new Jacuzzi has been added, offering views over the glass-ceilinged sky lounge. The helicopter pad doubles as a round sun deck, providing additional space for relaxation.
Highlander's middle deck is designed for sunbathing, with ample room for lounging. The aft deck has been enlarged, featuring seating and a bar, complemented by teak steps leading down to the swim platform and an oversized extendable hydraulic platform.
Interior Design
Highlander's interior design emphasizes openness and modernity, achieved through the use of rare woods and luxurious stones. The main saloon, now full beam, is veneered in white African anigre. This area features wide-planked dark wood floors that add to the yacht's elegant aesthetic. The central staircase is constructed from Amazonian leathered stone and floats between walls veneered in wavy walnut.
The interior entertaining spaces have been completely opened up to create a spacious feel. The main saloon has floor-to-ceiling windows that can fold open to the main aft deck, forming one continuous space. The media room includes surround sound and custom floor-to-ceiling glass doors, enhancing the open design concept.
The galley is designed for both efficiency and style, although specific details are not provided. The helm is built with functionality in mind, ensuring smooth navigation while maintaining the overall design integrity of the yacht.
Highlander's sky lounge features panoramic windows, providing expansive views. In the evening, this space can transform into a disco, complete with a bar. The use of rare materials and thoughtful design choices throughout the yacht reflects a focus on creating an open, modern environment for guests to enjoy.
Accommodation
Highlander is designed to accommodate up to 13 guests in seven well-appointed staterooms. The master suite, located on the main deck forward, offers 180-degree views and includes his-and-her marble bathrooms, a private office, and a floating king-sized bed.
Additionally, Highlander features six renovated guest suites, each equipped with marble en-suite bathrooms to ensure comfort and privacy for all guests. The VIP stateroom stands out with its king-sized bed, a Jacuzzi, a separate shower, and a walk-in closet.
For the crew, Highlander provides ample accommodation, ensuring that service is both discreet and efficient, contributing to an overall smooth onboard experience.
