Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 9.3m beam and a 3.1m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 710 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Construction started in early 2007 with the keel laid under the project name 'Va Bene'. Launched in May 2009 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in July 2009.
Exterior Design
Rare Find's striking blue steel hull and white superstructure present a classic and unpretentious appearance. The overall structure is designed to optimize both space and usability, featuring expansive decks that provide ample room for relaxation and entertainment. The sundeck includes a Jacuzzi, offering an additional area for guests to unwind while enjoying panoramic views.
The exterior is also equipped with practical elements, such as a spacious swim platform that facilitates easy access to the water. This area is ideal for deploying water toys, including personal watercraft and jet boats, which are stored in the yacht's lazarette.
The zero-speed stabilizers by Quantum enhance the yacht's stability, ensuring comfort even in choppy waters. This feature is particularly useful during anchorages in scenic but occasionally rough locations.
Interior Design
The main deck showcases a harmonious blend of sycamore and makore wood veneers, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. This thoughtful combination of woods extends throughout the yacht, providing a consistent and appealing aesthetic.
Upon entering through the salon's aft door, guests are greeted by an open and comfortable space. To the right, a well-appointed bar stands ready to serve, while a card table to the left offers a casual area for games. The seating arrangement includes two matching sitting areas, complemented by a large screen TV that can be retracted into a cabinet. This setup is ideal for relaxed gatherings and entertainment. The TV cabinet also serves as a divider, separating the more informal living area from the formal dining area, ensuring that both spaces maintain their distinct purposes.
Forward of the main salon, a formal guest entrance provides access to the interior, leading to a large galley that is well-equipped to meet the needs of guests. The yacht's interior design includes thoughtful details such as nearly floor-to-ceiling portholes in the owner's suite, which allow for ample natural light and ocean views. Crestron controls are integrated throughout, enabling guests to easily adjust curtains, lights, air conditioning, and entertainment systems to their preferences.
The sky lounge is another key feature of Rare Find’s interior. It is spacious and well-equipped, including a marble-top bar, large TV screen, plush sofas, a card table, and panoramic views. This area is designed for leisure and relaxation, offering a comfortable environment for guests to unwind.
Accommodation
Rare Find accommodates up to 12 guests in 6 well-appointed cabins. The yacht features a spacious owner's suite located forward on the main deck, offering an office, a large master bathroom equipped with modern amenities, and an expansive dressing room. Large portholes provide ample natural light and stunning ocean views. Advanced Crestron controls allow for easy management of curtains, lights, air conditioning, and entertainment systems.
Adjacent to the owner's suite is a versatile VIP stateroom, which includes a foldable bed and an ensuite bathroom adorned with Marmara marble.
The remaining guest accommodations are located amidships on the lower deck, featuring four staterooms. Each room provides ample comfort and includes private bathrooms with various marbles. The staterooms are configured with two king-size beds and four twin beds, with Pullman beds available to expand sleeping arrangements as needed.
The crew quarters are designed to accommodate 13 crew members, ensuring a high standard of service. The captain's cabin is spacious and conveniently situated on the bridge deck, across from a dedicated radio room and office.
