Asia continues adapting to superyacht demand

Continually seeing an uptick in demand, Asia is rapidly becoming a highly sought-after superyacht destination for both residential and international Owners.

Many Asian shipyards including Taiwanese brand Horizon have reported promising order books for 2021/2022, indicating the growing needs for superyacht locations around the region.

Reporting many renovation and construction projects like the recently completed Lantau Yacht Club in Hong Kong, the growing Asian yachting market has undoubtedly seen some influence from the continuing COVID-19 pandemic, however, there are many perks to touring the region via superyacht.

Aside from the iconic points of interest and stunning scenery, the yachting lifestyle has easily adapted to a life of isolation and now thanks to the One 15 management company another two locations will be opening up to visiting superyachts over the next couple of years.

However, now announcing ongoing developments, One 15 has confirmed that a private marina and superyacht facility is in construction and scheduled to open in 2023.

Within the new proposed layout, the private marina is to host 207 berths with 11 suitable to accommodate superyachts, plus amenities including free Wifi, 24-hour security and complimentary buggy services around the docks.

Featuring 70 berths, including facilities for visiting superyachts, the marina will cover around 4.71 hectares and include a plethora of on-site facilities such as a sea sports centre, hospitality and leisure amenities, an integrated club house and fuelling services.

To make the most of the new marinas in the Asian territories, now would be a good time to start looking at indulgent superyachts.
