Winch Design and ICON Yachts have unveiled the interiors of the 70m explorer yacht Project MASTER at the Monaco Yacht Show 2024. The 3,000 GT yacht, ‘reborn from a historical offshore rescue and standby vessel’ was first unveiled at the 2021 Monaco Yacht Show.
Designer and naval architect Espen Øino crafted the yacht's new appearance, and while much of the original platform and superstructure will remain, a new extended stern section, using Voith eVSP propellers, and with an aft swim platform, will bring Project MASTER’s length to 70m (230ft).
The motor yacht Project MASTER’s interior spaces have been designed to balance luxury with functionality. Inspired by the ocean, each deck ‘transitions through a journey of light, texture, and depth’, while incorporating references to the yacht’s previous life.
At the heart of the design is a constant connection with the surrounding seascape, and an ambiance of social relaxation and adventurous episodes."

At the top of the new yacht, the owner’s deck draws inspiration from the ocean's surface, with blue and sandy accents being used. Descending through the decks, the tones and textures shift to mirror the ocean’s depth — the wellness deck utilizes richer hues and softer lighting to represent deeper waters. The main deck uses darker tones and distinct textures for an intimate atmosphere.
For Project MASTER, Winch Design is using various eco-friendly materials and suppliers, aligning with the studio’s commitment to delivering responsible luxury.
