Feadship launches 71m superyacht JUICE

The motor yacht is the yard’s first launch of the year and features a number of distinguishing elements.

Feadship has launched its first yacht of the year with 71m (233ft) superyacht JUICE leaving its Amsterdam construction hall.

The 1,550GT motor yacht has been commissioned for a repeat Feadship client who, as is common with all yachts that are built by the renowned Dutch yard, was heavily in the build process.

The exterior has been designed by RWD and features soft lines and distinctive creases reminiscent of a previous collaboration between the yard and the design studio, the multi-award winning 96.55m (317ft) superyacht FAITH, delivered in 2017.

All structural parts of the exterior have been finished in polished steel to give superyacht JUICE an elegant yet masculine look, whilst there is an abundance of glass incorporating everything from the railings to the sides of the pool.

The beautifully detailed interior comes from the pen of Peter Marino, with the Owner personally selecting the materials to be used in the design.

Superyacht JUICE, formerly known under her build number of 820, has a number of distinctive elements, most obviously her walk-around superstructure, but also a complete Owner’s deck between the bridge and main deck and four impressive guest suites on the main deck.

Other features include an 8m (26ft) main deck pool, a large beach club, a lower deck cinema and a sun deck based gym. She also accommodates three custom tenders, a 10m (33ft) limousine tender, an 8m (26ft) guest RIB and a rescue boat, all beneath her flush foredeck.

The Owner is a keen collector of art with both the name and the 3D logo on the funnel inspired by a 1967 piece of artwork by American artist Ed Ruscha. The name is also a nod to the expression used at auction houses ‘juice on top’, which has a similar meaning to ‘icing on the cake’.

Superyacht JUICE is expected to undertake sea trials in the coming weeks and is another example of the pedigree that marks Feadship out as one of the very best superyacht builders in the world. Every yacht built by the yard is a completely individual one-off project, with heavy involvement from the Owner.
