Feadship unveils latest design concept, 82m superyacht PURE

As part of its Future Concept series PURE was unveiled at the Monaco Yacht Show and is based upon the likely requirements of future generations of superyacht owners.

Feadship has marked the opening of this year’s Monaco Yacht Show, by unveiling its latest Feadship Future Concept, 81.75m (268ft) superyacht PURE.

The Feadship Future Concept was introduced in 2006. A new design concept is released each year by Feadship’s designers and naval architects and is based upon the likely requirements of the next generation of superyacht owners.

Featuring a ‘sculptural exterior profile’ and an ‘open plan interior’, PURE is designed around a true sense of connectivity and togetherness for all who come on board. The concept is based upon feasible elements that could be built tomorrow, including a lower deck commend center that replaces the traditional bridge. The design is also future compatible with likely developments over the next decade in propulsion and efficiency.

A number of Feadship Future Concepts have accurately forecast the direction in which the superyacht industry is moving, in aspects such as glass construction (the X-Stream concept), hybrid propulsion (F-Stream), low fuel consumption (BREATHE), eco-friendly design (AEON) and the desire for privacy (RELATIVITY).

The concept is currently on display at the Feadship stand in Monaco with designers Jan Schaffers and Tanno Weeda on hand to explain the technologies behind the concept. More details on PURE are expected to be released soon.
