Feadship has announced details of a new superyacht design concept, aimed at clients who are happy to work with an existing exterior design and technical specification but still want to create their own Feadship.
Feadship is known for building fully custom yachts, so this this 72.6m (238ft) Project 2024 marks a slight but important evolution of thinking for the Dutch builder. The concept was revealed during an online press conference and was created in partnership with Nauta Design and Feadship’s own in-house design team De Voogt.
Built from a steel hull and an aluminum superstructure, the concept was created in answer to various client requests. It offers what Feadship calls an “enormous range of bespoke premium quality choices”, but with all core technical elements devised and essential engineering and naval architecture complete. All of which means the superyacht can be ready for delivery by summer 2024.
There is 564 square meters (6.070 sq. ft) of interior space that is completely customizable and accommodation for 12 guests across six cabins, including a master cabin forward of the main deck with a lounge and private balcony.
The upper deck is home to a skylounge and outside dining facilities, whilst forward of the upper deck is space for a touch-and-go helideck. The sun deck is split up into three zones and includes a Jacuzzi and bar area aft.
One of the highlights of the design is the beach club. Foldout side wings extend the beach club area by an estimated 80%, with the space also boasting a 3.3m (10.8ft) swimming pool and is connected to the main deck aft by gently sloping stairs.
The superyacht will be powered by Tier-3 compliant twin 1500 kW main engines, with the Owner being able to choose further propulsion options.
Feadship is made up of two prestige shipyards, De Vries and Royal Van Lent, along with the naval architects De Voogt and has a near unmatched reputation for building large superyachts. Some 50 superyachts have been delivered in the past decade with an average length of 66.7m (218.8ft)
That figure looks likely to rise in the next couple of years with Feadship 1010 and Feadship 821 in the pipeline. Both will measure 118m (387ft) making them not only the yard’s biggest projects but also the largest Dutch-built yachts when they are delivered.
