Heesen reveals new 57m aluminium superyacht Project Akira

Heesen has announced a brand new 57m concept known as Project Akira to be part of the Hessen Aluminium range.

Constructed entirely of aluminium, Project Akira is the first in a new 5700 Aluminium series and has a maximum speed of 22 knots.

Featuring extensive collaborative design work from Omega Architects and Harrison Eidsgaard, the new addition the Heesen fleet has a striking exterior with a vertical bow and strong, dominant lines.

Exteriors for Project Akira are spacious and welcoming for guests. A deep swim platform provides space for relaxing on sun loungers close to the waves, or an easy launching platform for a multitude of water toys.

Al fresco living offers plenty of opportunities around the decks, starting off with a cosy C shaped sofa setup on the foredeck. Accompanied by a drinks table, this comfortable and intimate lounge area is ideal for cocktails in the evening or for enjoying snacks while watching others on the surf.

Exterior living continues on the main deck and upper deck aft with comfortable seating and al fresco dining options. For guests wanting to indulge in the best views, the sundeck also offers additional seating plus an on-deck Jacuzzi boasting premium views around the vessel.

Onto the interiors of Project Akira and there's a further 780 GT of space to explore. Full height windows around the exterior provide an optimal allowance of natural light to filter into the elegant interior layout.

The neutral tones and strategic contrasts are highlighted bu the natural light, emphasising the feeling of space. A roomy main saloon and interior dining area set the scene for indoor entertaining, with the upper deck adding more luxury with plush seating and admirable vantage points for stunning views.
