Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 12.6m beam and a 4m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 1,900 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Construction started in mid 2020 with the keel laid under the project name ' YS 7512 '. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in October 2022 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in January 2023.
Exterior Design
Commissioned in the autumn of 2019, Abeona emerged as the largest-ever full custom support vessel crafted by Damen Yachting upon her launch. Named after the Roman goddess of voyages, she was purpose-built to accommodate a yacht surpassing 100 meters in length.
Abeona sports a grey hull with an orange boot stripe, characteristic of Damen Yachting's distinctive design. Her notable features include a high forebody, vertical bow, and spacious open aft deck, intended for storing tenders and water toys. Equipped with a helipad and hangar for a D14 value helicopter (example helicopters that satisfy a D14 value include the 13-passenger Airbus H155 (Eurocopter EC155), and the 12-passenger Eurocopter AS365 Dauphin), she also boasts an array of marine gear and supplementary tenders and toys, essential for supporting the main vessel. Additionally, Abeona is designed to accommodate emergency relief support equipment.
The vessel's design incorporates three large sections of glazing atop the topsides, complemented by irregularly placed square portholes. The steep angle from the top to the main deck serves a utilitarian purpose, leading to a straight-line path to the aft deck, mirrored above by the upper service deck. Square deck levels at the stern house the aircraft landing pad, situated above a service garage and bunker store. The presence of large cranes facilitates the launch and recovery of the numerous tenders and toys intended to serve the mother ship, Koru.
A striking feature of Abeona is her radar and communication mast, characterized by its near-vertical orientation and black carbon construction. The bridge deck roof boasts squared-off angles and inverted glazing, adding to the vessel's modern aesthetic. The black main deck aft offers a striking contrast against the grey hull, with a short boarding platform and central staircase leading to the deck. Round fairleads spaced throughout the strake enhance functionality, while wide walkways throughout ensure ease of movement aboard the vessel.
Interior Design
The yacht's privacy is closely guarded, and no authorized interior photographs are available.

Abeona offers accommodation for up to 4 guests in 2 suites. She is also capable of carrying up to 37 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
