More DetailsThe 33.53m motor yacht Andrea VI was delivered to her owners in 2013 by Taiwanese shipyard Horizon. Her exterior design comes from the drawing boards of JC Espinosa, while Donald Blount is responsible for her naval architecture.
Key Features
- Horizon's first RP110 yacht
- Aft deck with chic wraparound sofa
- Flybridge with custom transparent canvas panels
- L-shaped galley with ample storage
Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 7.16m beam and a 1.83m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 230 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the first yacht built on the RP110 design. She was delivered to her owners in August 2013.
Exterior Design
Andrea VI's exterior design reflects functionality and comfort, with a large wraparound sofa on the aft main deck. The yacht's flybridge is particularly noteworthy, featuring a forward section protected by a hardtop with custom-designed transparent panels. These panels enclose the deck on three sides, allowing for air-conditioned comfort and unobstructed views. The side panels, each about six meters long, are the largest continuous panels made by the vendor. Horizon integrated a track for the panels’ zippers into the stainless steel side rails, an innovative approach for the shipyard. Andrea VI's flybridge also serves as storage for the 4.9-meter Williams tender, eliminating the need for a garage. When the tender is deployed, the flybridge offers space for sunbathing.
Interior Design
The interior design of the Andrea VI yacht has a focus on creating an open and airy environment. The design uses long, whitewashed oak flooring planks to emphasize a clean and uncluttered aesthetic throughout the public rooms. Whitewashed oak cabinetry, finished with a smooth satin texture, is complemented by fabric wall coverings and leather upholstery in neutral shades of white, linen, and beige. This color scheme provides a neutral backdrop that enhances the expansive views through the large, frameless windows.
The galley, designed in an L-shaped open country kitchen style, emphasizes both practicality and comfort. It features ample storage and freezer space to accommodate long-distance cruising needs. Most of the galley appliances are sourced from Miele, with a large Sub-Zero refrigerator and freezer integrated into the dining area, their oak doors blending with the room's décor. A second refrigerator by the cooking range is included to hold staples, ensuring the galley is well-equipped for extended voyages.
The helm, located in the pilothouse, continues the theme of understated elegance. It features a whitewashed oak console and flooring. The leather-and-stainless sofas in the pilothouse add a touch of sophistication while maintaining functionality. The helm area offers over 180 degrees of visibility through wraparound windows, making it a practical space for navigation and observation.
In the lounges and saloons, the removal of room-dividing cabinets and partitions creates a sense of flow, promoting interaction and relaxation. The design choice allows for unobstructed movement and enhances the feeling of openness, which is further highlighted by the continuous presence of natural light.
Accommodation
Andrea VI is configured with a four-suite layout accommodating 8 guests that features a full-beam master suite located on the lower deck. This arrangement allows for a spacious sleeping area, providing the owners with privacy and comfort during extended voyages. The master suite, designed with the same attention to detail as the rest of the yacht, reflects a refined aesthetic.
Guest accommodations consist of additional suites, each designed to provide a comfortable and enjoyable experience for family and friends. The layout ensures ample space and privacy for all on board.
The crew quarters, replacing the standard tender garage accommodate up to five members. This area includes two bunkrooms connected by a 'Jack-and-Jill' head and an en suite captain's cabin. Crew accommodations are finished to the same high standard as the rest of the yacht, ensuring a pleasant living and working environment.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C32A) 1,925hp engines, motor yacht Andrea VI is capable of reaching a top speed of 22 knots, and comfortably cruises at 18 knots. With her 21,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 1,700 nautical miles at an economic speed of 11 knots. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.
Amenities
In addition, a swim platform is on hand for guests looking to cool off in the sea. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. Andrea VI also features an inviting spread of sunpads.
