Design & Construction

Designed around a semi-displacement fiberglass hull and a GRP superstructure she features a 26'2" beam and a 8' draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 399 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Exterior Design

The aft deck of Kajak is designed for dining and relaxation, featuring an ample table suitable for hosting guests. Convenience is enhanced by a varnished cabinet that includes refrigeration and an ice maker, ensuring refreshments are readily available. The yacht includes substantial lockers for storing mooring gear and the aft deck is equipped with windbreak panels that offer protection from the elements, enhancing comfort.

The yacht's tender storage is cleverly integrated into the transom, offering space for a 16-foot tender and two additional lateral bays for personal watercraft. This arrangement keeps the decks clear and maintains the yacht's streamlined appearance.

Up on the sun deck, the layout balances open areas for sunbathing with shaded sections for outdoor dining, complete with a bar and barbecue station. Hidden features, such as the concealable crane and innovative storage solutions for deck furniture covers, reflect the yacht's emphasis on practicality without compromising aesthetic appeal.

The integration of modern technology, such as the compact Starlink antenna for reliable internet connectivity, hints at Kajak's forward-thinking approach to design, ensuring guests can remain connected even while cruising remote areas.

Kajak is focused on delivering a practical, comfortable, and enjoyable experience for guests, with thoughtful features that enhance the usability of the outdoor spaces.

Interior Design

The interior design of Kajak is steeped in quality craftsmanship, manifested through the use of fine woods, including mahogany and cherry in the ceiling, as well as fir in the paneling.

The main salon of Kajak features a variety of wood finishes that create an atmosphere of warmth and sophistication. A central coffee table serves as a focal point, offering a unique design that could be considered a piece of art. Adjacent to the seating area is a sizable television that descends from the ceiling, providing entertainment options for guests. The nearby bar area is topped with a granite worktop and is well-equipped with storage for drinks and cocktail accessories.

Storage solutions are cleverly integrated throughout the yacht, underscoring the importance of practicality in yacht design. For example, the glassware storage is secure and silent, even when the yacht is underway, showcasing attention to detail in every aspect of the interior layout.

The dining area is designed for usability, comfortably accommodating guests for indoor meals. It is strategically positioned next to the well-appointed galley, which is proportionally spacious for the yacht's size. The galley features expansive fridge and freezer space, temperature-controlled wine storage, and an array of professional cooking appliances, including an island unit. A butler's pantry adds to the practical convenience.

The helm is designed with straightforward navigation in mind. The predominantly black color scheme minimizes instrument reflection at night and maximizes visibility. The layout of the controls and instruments is intuitive, ensuring ease of use for the captain. A practical seating arrangement at the helm, along with a workstation in the corner, further emphasizes the yacht's functional design.

Accommodation

Kajak offers the epitome of a refined experience at sea, providing accommodation for a complement of ten guests. Her interior layout includes five staterooms, ensuring privacy and comfort for all on board. The yacht houses two stately owner’s staterooms, imparting a sense of exclusivity and retreat for the primary guests. These staterooms are expansive, with en-suite facilities and ample storage space, allowing for an uncluttered and serene environment.

The additional guest quarters comprise two VIP cabins and one twin cabin, each thoughtfully designed to create a tranquil ambiance with dedicated en-suite bathrooms.

Kajak is also configured to accommodate a crew of up to eight members. The crew cabins are designed to offer comfort and privacy, ensuring that the team is well-rested and prepared.

Performance & Capabilities

Kajak is powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C-32) engines, each producing a substantial 1,825 horsepower. With these engines, the yacht achieves a top speed of 13 knots, designed not for breakneck speeds but for steady and reliable cruising. At a comfortable cruising speed of 11 knots, Kajak offers both efficiency and dependability. Kajak's engine room reflects thoughtful design, offering ample space around the engines for easy maintenance and accessibility.

With impressively large fuel tanks holding up to 41,600 liters, Kajak boasts a maximum range of 3,000 nautical miles when traveling at a speed of 12 knots. This considerable range underscores her ability to undertake extended voyages, providing ample opportunity for adventurous itineraries and spontaneous changes in destination.

To enhance comfort, especially when stationary in turbulent seas, Kajak has been equipped with stabilizers. The added stability ensures that guests experience minimal discomfort from rolling motions, enhancing the on-board experience whether at anchor or underway.

The yacht's semi-displacement hull form allows for a harmonious combination of spaciousness and performance, ensuring that Kajak is as suited to leisurely cruises along coastlines as she is to ambitious transoceanic expeditions.

Amenities

The yacht features a tender garage with storage for a range of toys and accessories. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort and underwater lights will turn plenty of heads when the sun goes down. Kajak also features a deck jacuzzi for cooling off and an inviting spread of sunpads.
