Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement w/ bulbous bow aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 28'3" beam and a 6'6" draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 484 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Launched in October 2015 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in December 2015.
Exterior Design
Crafted from aluminum for a sleek and lightweight structure, she was built in 2016 and immediately set a new standard for innovation in yacht design. The yacht's exterior is characterized by a harmonious blend of functionality and aesthetics, with clean lines and a modern profile that ensures she stands out in any marina.
One of the most striking features of the Bartali is its expansive garage, accommodating a tender up to 32 feet in length. This impressive capacity is a testament to the yacht's thoughtful design, focused on maximizing the use of space without compromising on luxury or performance.
As one steps onto the passerelle, the Bartali's expansive cockpit comes into view, offering a generous outdoor seating area where guests can lounge in comfort. The space is well-protected by a large overhang, ensuring ample shade and creating an inviting atmosphere for relaxation or social gatherings.
The yacht's side balconies are a marvel of engineering, with retractable sections that transform the space into open-air extensions of the interior. The seamless integration of indoor and outdoor living areas is a hallmark of Bartali's design philosophy, providing guests with an unparalleled connection to the sea.
The upper deck lounge, with its retractable walls and bar area, serves as an adaptable space for entertainment, while the aft deck extends the social area with a large dining table set against the backdrop of the ocean. The sun deck above is vast, offering guests a private oasis to bask in the sun or enjoy the panoramic views from the hot tub located at the bow.
The Bartali's forward bow area is yet another testament to its thoughtful design, featuring retractable elements that create a versatile space, ideal for outdoor cinema experiences or simply as an additional lounging area. The use of wide, light-colored teak planks for the flooring further accentuates the modernity and elegance of the yacht.
Interior Design
As you step through automatic sliding doors, a grand lobby area welcomes you, complete with day heads for convenience, and hints at the grandeur that awaits within. The main saloon is a space where guests are invited to congregate and indulge in the yacht's sophisticated ambiance. Here, contemporary furnishings blend seamlessly with the state-of-the-art entertainment systems, providing a perfect setting for both interaction and relaxation.
The upper deck lounge extends the invitation for leisure with its bar area, large television, and sliding doors that open to the caress of the sea air, offering a fluid connection between the interior comforts and the beauty of the surrounding ocean.
Bartali's interior spaces culminate in the bridge, a futuristic command center that rivals the most advanced technology with its electric azipod propulsion system and integrated controls. This area is not only a marvel of engineering but also reflects the yacht's overall aesthetic of sleek, futuristic design.
Accommodation
The centerpiece of Bartali's guest accommodations is the owner's suite, a grand expression of opulence and comfort. Situated forward on the main deck, the suite is a sanctuary of privacy spanning the full beam of the yacht. Upon entering, guests are greeted by a wardrobe space that transcends the conventional, resembling an opulent cabin dedicated to apparel and personal effects. The suite's standout feature is a transformative balcony, which with the touch of a button, reveals a private outdoor space complete with teak decking and safety rails, seamlessly blending the interior luxury with the open seas.
The owner's suite is further complemented by a palatial en suite bathroom, where the term 'en suite' seems an understatement. A shower large enough to host a small gathering and a bath carved from a single piece of wood underscore the suite’s dedication to luxury. The suite also boasts dual basins and dedicated spaces for personal convenience, ensuring that every need is met with sophistication and style.
Bartali accommodates its guests across several additional staterooms located on the lower deck. Two nearly identical cabins astern feature large dressing areas, contemporary color schemes, and en suite facilities with rainfall showers, presenting an ambiance of understated elegance. The staterooms are further enhanced by ample wardrobe space, creating secluded retreats for guests to relax and unwind.
Forward on the lower deck, two more guest cabins mirror the aft cabins in grandeur but offer a different configuration. These cabins provide the flexibility of twin beds and also feature en suites with generous showers and refined fixtures. One of the cabins includes a Pullman berth, adding versatility for guest arrangements.
Crew accommodation on Bartali is no less impressive. Separate from the guest areas to ensure privacy, the crew quarters are accessed via a discreet staircase leading down from the main deck. The crew mess is expansive, providing a communal area that is both functional and inviting. With four cabins, plus the captain’s cabin on the upper deck, the crew of Bartali is afforded comfortable and private living spaces. Each crew cabin is equipped with en suite facilities, ensuring that the team can maintain the highest standards of service in a comfortable and restful environment.
Performance & Capabilities
Bartali is powered by four massive MAN generators, each producing 350 kilowatts of power. Unlike traditional yachts that have main engines for propulsion, Bartali employs these generators to power electric Azipods located at the stern. This configuration is a departure from conventional shaft-driven propulsion systems, providing a distinct advantage in efficiency and maneuverability. The generators are strategically located in the bow, distancing them from guest areas to significantly reduce noise and vibration. This thoughtful design ensures a serene and tranquil environment onboard, allowing guests to enjoy the yacht's luxurious amenities without the disturbance often caused by conventional engine setups.
Bartali's advanced propulsion system not only contributes to a quieter voyage but also delivers impressive performance metrics. The yacht can reach a cruising speed of 10 to 12 knots, with the ability to push to around 30 knots when at full throttle. These speeds are achieved with remarkable efficiency, offering a blend of power and grace on the water.
For those looking to embark on long-distance journeys, Bartali boasts an impressive range of approximately 4,700 nautical miles. This extensive range is made possible by the efficient use of power from the generators to the Azipods, allowing for extended cruising without the frequent need for fuel stops.
