The 30.8m motor yacht Bluestone 1 was delivered to her owners in 2023 by Emirati shipyard Gulf Craft. Her interior and exterior has been penned in-house by the Gulf Craft design team.

Design & Construction

Designed around a semi-displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 7.4m beam and a 1.43m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 195 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the first yacht built on the Nomad 101 design.

Exterior Design

The exterior design of Bluestone 1 offers practical and functional elegance. The upper deck features a forward terrace, designed to provide unobstructed views and an elevated position that minimizes water splash due to the hull's unique design. This open deck is versatile, allowing for personalized furniture arrangements or even the installation of a Jacuzzi.

The aft cockpit is notably large, featuring fixed furniture and a high-load dining table suitable for up to 12 people. This area can be customized to meet various needs, reflecting Gulf Craft's semi-customizable approach. The deck's exterior is completed with an infinity terrace, providing a full walk-around deck that allows for easy movement for guests and crew. This design facilitates smooth transitions across the entire upper deck. 

Bluestone 1's hull and superstructure are white, creating a clean and cohesive appearance. The boot top is dark blue, and below the waterline, the color is black. This color scheme is straightforward and classic, emphasizing functionality and durability.

Interior Design

The main salon features floors made from sustainable plantation bamboo, offering a durable and eco-friendly surface. The salon itself provides a spacious environment that resembles a luxury apartment, complete with a lounging area and a dining table designed to seat ten guests comfortably.

The galley is well-equipped to cater to both the owner and guests, featuring high-quality countertops with a practical lip design. The kitchen includes an ample amount of refrigeration, microwaves, four-burner hobs, and 60-centimeter convection ovens. The countertops have a marble effect and are practical for cooking and serving. The galley can be separated from the dining area with a pocket door, allowing for privacy and convenience during meal preparation.

Bluestone 1 also includes multiple lounges and salons across its three decks. Each space is designed with versatility in mind, allowing for different configurations based on the owner's preferences. The second deck features an L-shaped lounging area with a built-in television and wine cabinet, which can be customized with different types of furniture or dining tables. The sky lounge on the third deck offers a wet bar and grill area, additional refrigeration, and loose furniture that can be arranged as per the owner's requirements.

Accommodation

Bluestone 1 can comfortably accommodate up to ten guests across five staterooms, each featuring an en-suite bathroom and high-quality finishes.

The owner's suite is located on the main deck and spans the full width of the yacht, offering 180-degree views. The suite includes a king-size bed, ample storage, and a private en-suite bathroom equipped with a rainfall shower, bidet, and a spacious vanity. Additionally, the suite has private access to a deck area at the bow, providing a secluded space for the owner to enjoy morning coffee

On the lower deck, there are four additional guest staterooms. The largest of these features a queen-size bed and a well-appointed en-suite bathroom. Two of the other guest cabins are configured with twin beds that can be converted into doubles via an actuator mechanism, providing flexibility based on guest requirements. Each of these cabins also includes an en-suite bathroom. The final guest cabin features a double bed.

Bluestone 1 is designed to accommodate a crew of up to six members. The crew quarters include two cabins, each with an en-suite bathroom, as well as a small galley and additional storage facilities.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MTU (V12 2000 M96L) 1,920hp engines, motor yacht Bluestone 1 is capable of reaching a top speed of 22 knots, and comfortably cruises at 12 knots. With her 14,327 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 3,100 nautical miles at an economic speed of 8 knots. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.
