Delivered in 2023, Entourage is a multi-award winning 60m motor yacht built by Dutch shipyard Amels. She features exterior design by Espen Oeino and interior styling by Burdifilek.
Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 10.4m beam and a 3.35m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 830 GT (Gross Tonnes). The design also incorporates a heli-pad.
This was the second yacht built on the Amels 60 design. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in July 2022 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in February 2023.
Exterior Design
The exterior design of the Entourage is practical and efficient, featuring long strips of windows. The hull configuration is displacement, with a almost straight bow that provides stability and smooth navigation. The hull is constructed from steel, ensuring durability and strength, while the superstructure is made from aluminum, which offers a balance of lightweight and resilience.
The deck is made of teak, known for its resistance to the elements and natural non-slip properties, enhancing safety and maintenance. The hull and superstructure are painted white, giving the yacht a clean and classic appearance. The boot top and waterline colors are black, which create a striking contrast.
The yacht's structure includes substantial straight railings, which provide more deck space and ease circulation around dining areas and seating. Awning poles have been strategically relocated behind the railing to further maximize usable deck space. The exterior furniture, a blend of custom pieces from List and customized items from Paola Lenti, emphasizes functionality and comfort.
The sundeck has been extended to enhance outdoor living, featuring a bar integrated along the port side of the hardtop structure and a large Jacuzzi at the front. The area is designed to be well-protected from the wind, offering a comfortable and usable outdoor space. Sockets for outdoor television screens are included, allowing for easy removal during crossings.
The beach club at the stern is directly accessible from the guest cabins, allowing for private and convenient access to the water. This area includes a mirrored ceiling and a television, making it suitable for both relaxation and activities.
Interior Design
The interior features greyish veneer with a custom open wired brush open grain, complemented by indirect lighting. The main salon includes two-meter-high windows, allowing natural light to flood the space and providing unobstructed views of the surroundings. The room maintains a muted backdrop, intended to highlight the art pieces once they are installed.
Materials used throughout the yacht's interior include carved limestone, leather, and hand-tufted carpets over parquet flooring. The stones are mostly sourced from an Italian quarry, with strategic placements where they serve as focal points. The finishes are designed to be unreflective, enhancing the overall calm ambiance.
One of the standout features is the lighting. The design incorporates a significant amount of dimmable indirect lighting that creates a soft glow in the evening. This careful lighting plan was challenging to implement but plays a crucial role in the yacht's overall atmosphere.
The sky lounge features a carpet with a greyish-blue tint that blends seamlessly with the sea and sky visible through the large windows. The space combines ventilation and protection, with bars hidden inside cabinets that match the surrounding walls. These bars reveal their contents against beautifully lit lacquered walls when opened.
The ceilings in the guest staterooms on the lower deck have a soft satin finish, contributing to a restful environment. The central guest staircase, a focal point in many yachts, winds around a sculptural metal piece enhanced by smart lighting. This staircase was a complex aspect of the interior design, executed with precision.
The bridge deck features a blue-grey color scheme that matches the sea, creating a visual continuity between the interior and the exterior. The open-plan design and floor-to-ceiling windows in the main salon enhance the sense of space and connection with the outside environment.
Accommodation
Entourage offers sophisticated accommodation for up to 12 guests in six well-appointed cabins.
The master suite is a spacious and elegant sanctuary located on the main deck. It features expansive windows that offer breathtaking views, enhancing the serene atmosphere inside. The suite includes a luxurious en-suite bathroom, providing a private retreat for the owner.
On the lower deck, Entourage boasts five additional guest staterooms. Each cabin is designed with a muted color palette and high-end materials such as leather and hand-tufted carpets, ensuring a tranquil environment. The soft satin finish of the overheads is specifically chosen to quiet the mind, making each room a peaceful haven.
Entourage is staffed by a dedicated crew of 13, who are accommodated in well-designed quarters that ensure they can provide top-notch service while maintaining their own comfort and privacy.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel-electric MTU (12V 2000 M72) 2,937hp engines, motor yacht Entourage is capable of reaching a top speed of 15 knots, and comfortably cruises at 13 knots. With her 122,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,500 nautical miles at 13 knots.
Amenities
Waterfront living can be enjoyed to the fullest, thanks to a large beach club and connecting swim platform with plenty of space for sitting back and admiring the sea views. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. Crowning the yacht is a spacious sundeck with an inviting spread of sunpads and deck jacuzzi which provides excellent views.
